Interpersonal conflict is both unpleasant and inevitable. Conflict avoidance is, therefore, unrealistic as a standard practice. Rather, conflict management is essential. Similarly, every saint is in a very real struggle against powerful though unseen "spiritual forces of wickedness" (Eph. 6:12). For this inevitable spiritual battle, we need "the full armor of God" (6:11).
