Reasons I like star wars
When was a Time you felt like you just messed up way too bad?
Like you felt like there is no way God would forgive you
Let’s look at it a different way
Has there been a time where you were doing good and then out of nowhere you just fall, like temptation hits and it sets up a time where you just keep falling?
So today I am going to confess something to you that I thought I was going to take to my grave,
When the new Star Wars Show Obi-Wan I couldn’t wait and I watched it before my family and never told them
at first I was like I will only watch the first couple of minutes
but the more I watched the harder it was to stop and then I watched the whole thing
But Sin is like that when we let it gain a foot hold in our life it just takes over until we are consumed by it and far away from God.
and do not give the devil a foothold. Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.

but he fell in love
Anakin was not suppose to be married
They lied about their marriage
He started having dreams that she died
He let the fear in.

Temptation hits us little by little
and when we do not put a stop to it immediately its like a seed that grows.
We saw in this clip
the Palpatine starts to feed Anakin’s insecurities
The enemy is the same way
You mess up
How can God really love you
Does God really care about you?
Palpatine then creates division
The Enemy does this too
The Church is not really there for you
The Church messed up, you deserve so much better
Palpatine then goes after Anakin’s fear his Wife
The enemy does this as well
You sinned, how can God love you
if people knew what you have done, you would be singled out, and nobody will accept you
You are just going to sin again so whats the point.

We can only serve one master
“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
When we fall and continue down that path we lose our identity.

We get so far away from God that it can feel like the life we had fades away to the point that our faith can feel dead.
Anakin’s fall was much like this.
He fell so far that his new identity consumed him, His sin consumed him and his identity was no longer Anakin but Darth Vader.
The Bible talks about losing ourselves
So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.
When when give in and allow sin to consume us it leads us down a path that leads to death
But that does not mean it has to be the end of the story

In the last moments Darth Vader saw the evil and realized how far he had fallen
his last act was to save his son and give up his life for good.
He was redeemed and was able to walk away from the fallen state he was in.
We have that same chance
It does not matter what your past is God wants you
So Jesus told them this story: “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!
Jesus left the 99 for the one, HE carried the one back
There is a celebration when the one is found and saved
When we are lost Christ is right there wanting you to come back.
You might think that you have fallen to far
Even today you might be walking with God but in the back of your mind you feel like you have no forgiveness
the truth of the matter is that

It is time to start living in the redemption that God has given to us through Jesus.
If you are the one lost sheep, its time that you let Christ carry you back and be found.
You are not alone, The church is a family and we are here for you. If you need help all it takes is to speak up
Another thing that Palpatine did was to make Anakin feel like he was alone
The enemy does this too,
