Introduction:
There are many sayings that we all have heard about the people we decide to hang around. Old folks would say when a group of people were together and they may be up to no good, “birds of a feather flock together.” This was to let you know that like minded and like behavior people usually are together. When we see two people together and they seem to just get along so well we call them, two peas in a pod. Then they are the sayings that are really underlying warnings for us. My Uncle TC, when I became saved told me and the other young converts, “You have to change your playground and your playmates.” this was an offered warning that in order to support our new found relationship with God, we needed to evaluate where we go and who we go with. He was letting us know, you just can’t go to anybodies house or go to places where we know God will not be in the midst or be around people that do not know God or have a relationship with God and think that it will not impact us; that it will make your journey of salvation more challenging! So it becomes a matter of utmost importance to follow the proverb, “be careful of the company you keep!” So I ask you in the words of the late Bernie Mac, “Who you wit?” Who you wit? Who is in your camp? Who is in your boat? Who you wit?!
