I Corinthians 14:10-12

King James Version (Chapter 14)
10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.
11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.
12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
Barbarian - A member if a community or tribe not belonging to one of the great civilizations.
Almost referring to one who is uncivilized.
Refer to Genesis Eleven (Tower of Babel)
The same unity it takes to work for God is the same unity it takes to work against God.
John 10:22-30 (ESV)
“At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon. So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me, but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.””
For some of you, the reason why you have no faith to believe in who Jesus is, because you’re not hearing any word that teaches you about Him. In other words, you may be listening to preaching / or pulpit imposters, but you’re not listening to Word.
Every believer will know when they are hearing the Word, because faith will come.
Romans 10:17 “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”
If we put the car in reverse and back up a few spaces we will discover:
Romans 10: 14-15 (ESV)
“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!””
Jesus said in Luke 4:43
“but he said to them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose.””
I need to tell somebody today, that unless you’re sent by God, you’ll never be able to speak on behalf of God, no matter how loud or how much you talk.
If God didn’t send you then you’re nothing more than a motivational speaker using scriptures and the name of Jesus, to get your point across and your agenda accomplished.
So we can conclude, that The Good News, is the Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Let me rush to validate my theological argument with Bible:
* We Preach Christ, Not Ourselves
2 Corinthians 4:5
“For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.”
* If It Doesn’t Point To Jesus; It’s Not The Gospel
Galatians 1:8-9
“But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.”
Unfortunately, just like in the days of Jesus, the Bible says, He was despised and rejected. The same thing goes for today. Sermons sound more like seminars, and self-help which is why most people no longer expect a move of God or even a Word from God.
People treat church like its a gathering place to receive their next steps to their big payday.
* How to get richer this week.
* How to get healthier this week.
How to be a better entreprenuer this week.
How to catch a man
How to divorce a man
How to catch a woman
How to throw that same woman away cause you found somebody who looks better with a better body and more money.
I’m not saying those things are bad, although a couple of them we clearly me being an extremist....They’re just NOT the Gospel.
In the right context; these things and messages concerning these things can be discussed.
But, because of greed in the pulpit, we have now trained the people and turned their ears OFF from their need to be saved, healed and delivered through the washing of the Word of God and indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. To satisfying their ears, making them feel as if they are rich, educated, successful and come to church every now and then and claim to be saved based on those things, then they have no need of anything else.
Because of complaints from the pews of too much Jesus, now the preacher has dumbed down the Word of God that saves the soul, to preaching what people want to hear to save a member, who is not a sheep of Jesus Christ, but a tithe paying member of your church. We have placed an emphasis on maintaining membership, rather than, emphasis relationship with Christ.
It’s almost as if we are saying, I’d rather keep the member and the money than Jesus.
Here’s what my Bible and your Bible says:
2 Timothy 4:1-5
“I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”
Here’s my perspective.
We shouldn’t be running anybody out of the door. But we should never run Jesus out of the door to satisfy someone or anyone who doesn’t humble themselves to His Word.
Listen up!
The goal of the Word of God is to bring you up to where God is.
It seems to me that believers are so sleep these days that they really don’t realize, they are trying to get God to come to their world why it is, God is called us up to His. The real come up isn’t your promotion on your job, new house, car, boo or business. But the real come up is when we walk in the fullness of the prophesy that God has spoken over our lives.
If you ever stop being offended by God saying your good is keeping you from your great then you would actually realize that church, ministry and nothing else is wearing you out and keeping you from that fulfillment. But, your lack of faith, belief in God’s Word, belief in who God has sent to speak that Word to you and over your life, and simply the fight you have going on between you and God to have your way is what’s stopping you.
You have too many voices; Too many choices and you are overwhelmed and confused.
Imagine listening to ALL of those people. Posting all of those clips. Posting all of those mems and still confused.
