Proverbs is a book of practical wisdom -> please apply it

Wisdom’s Plea (vv. 20-23)

Wisdom is not some mystic superpower, forever hidden away, but rather screaming from the rooftops (Deut. 30:11-14)
Screaming from the Word you carry, the preaching you hear, the heart that condemns you, and the Spirit that convicts you (Jn. 3:1-3; Acts 16:27-30)
You don’t have to seek it, but those rejecting it are putting forth effort to do so
How long will you love simplicity and hate knowledge?
Wisdom is available to all, heard by all, crying out to all, and comes from a God who wants to save all (1 Tim. 2:3-6)
It is not God rejecting you (yet), but rather you rejecting God -> YOU turn and submit to wisdom’s plea
The gospel will not change; therefore, you must

Wisdom’s Laugh (vv. 24-32)

We now have a glimpse into the time the foolish realize their need for wisdom, and there is none to be found
Waiting will never work (Lk 16:22-31)
The merciful God will extend no more mercy, and you will be reminded of your rejection of wisdom (Mt. 12:38-42)
Your ignorant comfort will be your destruction (v. 32)

Wisdom’s Reward (v. 33)

While the foolish are ignorantly comforted, the wise are confidently comforted
Turn and get understanding from the only one who can give it (v. 23)
Turn to the scriptures and live (2 Tim. 3:13-17)
Take hold of God’s outstretched hand and heed to God’s calling voice (v. 24), or choose to be destroyed in your foolishness
