Revelation 15 & 16 The Last Plagues part 1
As I come forward with words from worship
SLIDE 1
Last week we were in Chapter 14
SLIDE 2
We saw again the 144,000 with the Lamb on Mt Zion
Referring back to Chapter 7 and the 12000 saved Jews form each tribe of Israel
Name of the Father written on their foreheads
They were singing a new song before the throne of God and the 4 living creatures and the 24 elders
These were Jews who truly believed in the Messiah Jesus, who followed Jesus and had been made clean and free from defilement and no lies in their mouths and made blameless
Then after this scene in heaven the judgement of God follows
On who?
SLIDE 3
Those who worship the beast and his image
By having taken the mark on their forehead or on their hand
The smoke of their torment will go up forever and ever
What is the mark? chapter 14 verse 11 says the mark will be the name of the beast (666) (Gematrian art- a Greek system of assigning a numerical value to a word or phrase)
This noted that bu taking the mark they are drinking the cup of God’s wrath
These will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the Lamb and holy angels
Immediately in the next verse John reminds of the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus Christ
We see then the reaping of those on earth who had taken the mark and worshipped the beast
These will be cut down with a sickle of God and tread in a wine press and their blood would flow as high as reigns on a horse
SLIDE 4
Revelation 15:1 NASB95
1 Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels who had seven plagues, which are the last, because in them the wrath of God is finished.
SLIDE 5
Revelation 15:2 NASB95
2 And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, holding harps of God.
SLIDE 6
Revelation 15:3 NASB95
3 And they sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God, the Almighty; Righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations!
SLIDE 7
Revelation 15:4 NASB95
4 “Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For all the nations will come and worship before You, For Your righteous acts have been revealed.”
SLIDE 8
Revelation 15:5–6 NASB95
5 After these things I looked, and the temple of the tabernacle of testimony in heaven was opened, 6 and the seven angels who had the seven plagues came out of the temple, clothed in linen, clean and bright, and girded around their chests with golden sashes.
SLIDE 9
Revelation 15:7 NASB95
7 Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever.
SLIDE 10
SLIDE 11
Revelation 15:8 NASB95
8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power; and no one was able to enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.
That brings us to Chapter 16 and the last plagues
SLIDE 12
Keep in mind the temple of the tabernacle had been opened when one of the 4 living creatures handed the bowls to the angels to pour out on those who remain on earth that worship the beast
SLIDE 13
Revelation 16:1 NASB95
1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”
SLIDE 14
The first bowl was loathsome and gave the people who worshipped the beast malignant sores
SLIDE 15
2nd angel poured out his and the sea became blood like of a dead man
SLIDE 16
3rd angel poured his bowl and the rivers and spring waters became blood
Also the angels said you deserve to drink this blood because its the blood of the prophets and saints
SLIDE 17
4th angel poured his bowl and the sun scorched men with fire
Men still would not repent or give God glory
They actually blasphemed God
SLIDE 18
The 5th angel poured his bowl and the kingdom of the beast became dark
The people gnaw of their pain and still blaspheme God and still not repent
SLIDE 19
The sixth angel poured out his bowl and the river Euphrates dried up to make way for the kings of the nations to come up against Jerusalem
SLIDE 20
Revelation 16:13–14 NASB95
13 And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; 14 for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.
SLIDE 21
Revelation 16:15–16 NASB95
15 (“Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.”) 16 And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon.

SLIDE 25
The valley headed up to Jerusalem
SLIDE 26
Revelation 16:17 NASB95
17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, “It is done.”
The 7th angel poured his bowl and earthquakes hail and Babylon was wiped out by the wrath of God
