This World Is About To Change #2
satan’s intent on destroying Christ kingdom
Do Not Be Deceived by False Teaching that Christ’s Final Coming Has Already Occurred (2:1–2) Paul opens the chapter by referring to the subject of Christ’s final coming (parousia)*
Do Not Be Deceived by the False Teaching Because of Two Unfulfilled Signs (2:3–4) Paul summarizes what he has just said in 2:1–2: Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way (2:3). True saints are to respond positively to this command in the face of the false teaching of 2:2. Hence, the main point of 2:1–3 is “don’t be deceived.” Deceptive ideas can be conveyed in a variety of ways that make them appear attractive and true.
Mormonism is known for its wholesome family lifestyle, and both Mormons and the Jehovah’s Witnesses have a greater zeal to witness than many Christians. However, as attractive as these traits may be, these two sects are devoid of the true gospel
Likewise, though some were claiming Pauline authority for their false teaching that there will be no final coming of Christ, Paul warns his readers not to be deceived by the charade.

Thus “revolt” in the spiritual sense is a refusal to obey the commands of Yahweh
The rebel actively and wilfully does what is prohibited.
For example, Moses had to contend with a revolt led by Korah, Dathan, and Abiram (Nu. 16).
