Today we are going to reflect on all that Jesus has taught thus far and examine His authority as the Son of God.

The Beatitudes
God: blesses those who faithfully follow Him.
Us: Let’s follow Jesus no matter how hard life gets.
Salt and Light
God: wants us to point others to Him.
Us: Let’s do good things to show others how Jesus changed our lives.
Christ Came to Fulfill the Law
God: sent Jesus to live a perfect life, die for our sins, and rise again.
Us: Let’s trust in Jesus instead of being a “good person” for eternal life.
Anger
God: judges our heart and desires for His children to get along.
Us: Let’s forgive others quickly and seek forgiveness for our anger.
Lust
God: knows our wicked thoughts and wants us to flee from sin.
Us: Let’s be happy with what we have and not desire what’s not ours.
Divorce
God: created marriage to be a lifelong union between a husband & wife.
Us: Let’s marry for life and be faithful to our (future) spouse & God.
Oaths
God: owns everything and does not want us wrongly making oaths.
Us: Let’s not make promises but simply say “yes” or “no”.
Retaliation
God: is the only Judge and He judges fairly.
Us: Let’s not seek revenge or to “get even” with anyone.
Love Your Enemies
God: loved His enemies (us) while we were still sinners.
Us: Let’s share God’s love by loving those we do not like.

Give to the Needy
God: deserves all our praises and rewards those who secretly give.
Us: Let’s not brag when we do good for others.
The Lord’s Prayer
God: loves to hear our prayers and listens to those genuinely ask Him.
Us: Let’s be committed to praying to God everyday.
Fasting
God: wants us to turn to Him in sorrow and rewards those who seek Him.
Us: Let’s go to God when we are sad and not seek attention from others.
Lay Up Treasures in Heaven
God: is eternal and wants His children to know about Him.
Us: Let’s not waste our time on material things, but share God with others.
Do Not Be Anxious
God: provides for our every need.
Us: Let’s give our worries to God through prayer and trust in Him.

Judging Others
God: is a holy and righteous judge.
Us: Let’s make sure we are not living in sin before we point out sin to others.
Ask, and it Will Be Given
God: loves to give to His children.
Us: Let’s ask God for what we need by praying.
The Golden Rule
God: commands us to love others and follow Jesus through the narrow gate.
Us: Let’s love God and love people!
A Tree and Its Fruit
God: knows who truly loves Him by the way they treat others.
Us: Let’s bear good fruit for God by telling others about Him.
I Never Knew You
God: will reject those who do not have a relationship with Jesus.
Us: Let’s examine our hearts and devote ourselves to truly following Jesus.
Build Your House on the Rock
God: protects those who love His Son.
Us: Let’s build our lives on who Jesus is and what He has done.
