Time To Train

the Pharisees are now plotting to kill Jesus
Jesus is ruining their happy religion
their religion of works
which is the basis of all satanic religions
Jesus has a group of disciples that follow Him #?
from this group He will choose His Apostles
the ones that He will spend the most time with
ones that will live with Jesus as he travels
ones who will go out on short mission trips
sort of like what Allison does
these men will be taught by Jesus
they will watch Jesus in action
Jesus will rebuke them for their lack of faith
being selfish
being childish,
and fighting
these men are The ones to start the new Church
These men are going to take over when Jesus is gone
.But most of the teachings of Jesus will go over their heads These are the men that Jesus chose
These are the men that the father gave to Him
read Luke 6 12 - 19

Jesus Prayed

V 12
Jesus was alone in secluded place
all night He prayed
all night He was in communion with His Father
Jesus knew that His life would be tougher
Jesus knew the religious people was trying to kill Him
Jesus knew these ordinary men that He would choose would be a struggle
Jesus knew that these men would need prayer to remain faithful
their life would be difficult
they would be under the microscope of the world
they would die a martyrs death
so Jesus prayed all night
Jesus the Spirit and the Father were in communion
as the trinity
as God Jesus always prayed in the will of the Father
unlike some of ours that are in the will of me
when was the last time we prayed all night because lives depended on it

Twelve Ordinary Men

out of all the disciples that was with Jesus at that time V 13 - 15
all of these men were ordinary working class men
their power was in the Lord to do great things
God used their abilities, their background
God made them who they are
and God uses that
but any power comes from the Holy Spirit
also comes through communion with the Father

The Training Begins

we are just as ordinary
our faith is not that big
we are not the scholars
but Jesus has called us to be who we are
do we need the training by the Holy Spirit Yes
do we need to be disciplined? yes
do we need need to follow in the foot steps of Jesus? Yes
we have works that the Father has put before us
the only way we are going to be successful in the good works is by grace
by the power of the spirit
