My Hope Is in God (Worship While you Wait)

“HOPE IN GOD/ PICKED OUT TO BY GOD , TO BE PICKED ON BY SATAN!

Psalm 42 - 43 “To the choirmaster. A Maskil of the Sons of Korah. As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all the day long, “Where is your God?” These things I remember, as I pour out my soul: how I would go with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God with glad shouts and songs of praise, a multitude keeping festival.

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God. and that’s when we give God praise for the great things that He has already done.

See it doesn,t matter what our enemies are shouting , after we get done with all of our murmuring and complaining , LET’S PRAISE HIM , for the things that He has already done.

Background of the text the Psalmist is faced now with the prospect that He would never see the city of Jerusalem again AND HERE IN THE BOOK OF JOB , GOD’S SERVANT HUMBLES HIMSELF UNDER THE HAND OF HIS MASTER . “WE BROUGHT NOTHING IN THIS WORLD AND WE SHALL TAKE NOTHING OUT “.

When you find your Heart (SOUL) Failing YOU Remind Yourself “WORSHIP” . Psalms 42 is a lament written by men who formerly were able to freely worship God in the sanctuary THEY were used to Worshiping God in a certain place, and that was the Temple in JERUSALEM , these men according to 1 Chronicles 26:1 , are from the Levitical Tribe and are known “As for the divisions of the gatekeepers: of the Korahites, Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.” Their association with praising God , is like our worship leaders and worship teams , they lead the congregation in song , and praises to our God . So we find these praisers now Lamenting

.King David and his men are leaving Jersualem , being run out by Davids son (Absolom) So not only has King David lost a major battle , but it is his Son and now they are forced to leave what they know is what God gave them , they hear from a distance their enemies afar rejoicing at their victory over them. king David and and his men can only reminisce about how good it was to Worship at the Temple in Jerusalem . This was the worship team . This Psalms is not about the deer, or the water, and it is not really about our souls , but it’s about the One who is always faithful .

JOB’S THREE FRIENDS , Eliphaz , Bildad , AND Zophar

(HAVE YOU EVER HAD YOUR ENEMIES SCREAM AT YOU ) you know the yells that you are not good enough , or maybe you haven’t done this enough , or that enough , Its never enough . Do you realize that there is nothing wrong with longing for, and thirsting for Gods Presence “WE are people of His presence”.

The War they faced is the war we face today . We are challenged everyday by This Worlds views , But we are a peculiar people , and we serve a peculiar God .

I don’t know why God does what He does the way He does it all I know is that He causes all things to work together for our good and His Glory

That’s what Hope means , it means to wait , and to WAIT Confidently knowing that what your waiting on is WORTH it

like KING DAVID AND like JOB , we have to Worship , whether it be here or at home the enemy never stops and the battle rages on and when you find your self weary and it feels as if you have no strength and you will , 1st John 4:4 “Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for HE who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

the Greater one lives in lives inside of us , and all we have to do is believe that we receive Him.

WE CANNOT ALLOW OUR SENSES to OVERRULE OUR FAITH IN GOD . ROMANS 8:31-39

THIS IS THE SAME GOD THAT CHANGED DAVID FROM TENDING SHEEP UNNOTICED BY HIS FAMILY , BUT CHOSEN TO BE KING

THIS IS THE SAME GOD THAT SHUT THE MOUTH OF LIONS IN DANIEL DAY

THIS THE SAME GOD THAT SNATCHED PAUL OUT OF SAUL

THIS IS THE SAME GOD THAT RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD , AND THAT SAME SPIRIT LIVES IN US ! GOD IS WORTHY TO RECEIVE WORSHIP.

ROMANS 8:11 “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” that same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us .

Acts 16:25 “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them,” , that’s what this man , this soldier, this worshipper did he grab a hold of his SOUL , his mind , will and ,emotions . This Man starts to think back on how God drove out his enemies in the past .

Some of us have dreams and visions that God has spoken to us concerning the things God wants to bring to pass in our lives . , some of US are seeking God for a deeper meaning to it all . As we are going threw , and that’s the purpose WE ARE GOING THREW , AND HE IS WITH US .And God will bring us to a expected end . To worship in His Presence again . (Jeremiah 29:11) “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
