The Right People and the right environment

“He put them all outside.”

Luke 8:49-55

The New King James Version (Chapter 8)
49 While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.”50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.” 51 When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl. 52 Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, “Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.” 53 And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead.54 But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.” 55 Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat.

There is an important lesson here for you. To experience the resurrection power of Christ, you need the right people and the right environment.

Just as oil and water won’t mix, neither will faith and doubt.

Notice, Jesus took Peter, James, and John into the house with Him, and put all the others outside.

Might some have been offended and criticized Him for this? Sure, but when you’re in a crisis, you need to surround yourself with people who can stand with you on God’s Word and believe Him for the answer.

When you’re standing in faith, you can’t afford to be around people who don’t , can’t or haven’t learned to trust totally in the word of God!

Their negativity will begin to cast shadows of doubt in your mind that will begin to hinder your faith!

1 Corinthians 15:33 NKJV
33 Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”

When Jairus heard that his daughter had died, he doubtless would have thought, “That’s it; nothing more can be done!” But that’s not what Jesus thought.

In the original Greek text, Jesus said, “Don’t be afraid; only believe, and keep believing and she will be made well.”

You need people who will keep believing God with you for the answer.

Saints, there’s an old saying that goes “Birds of a feather flock together”.

I would advise you to begin to “flock” around like-minded, Spirit filled people who stand on the Word of God in faith!
