Isaiah 43:1 NASB95
1 But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!
This is us!
he formed us
if you have ever held your newborn child, there is a special bond, attachment . . .
us, he redeemed us, he called us
so you belong to God
that’s a good thing
you are His child
you are his prized possession
you have a unique relationship with him
How do you feel about bullying?
don’t like it
How would you feel about somone bullying your childe?
Isaiah 43:2 NASB95
2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.
when the pass through the waters
the danger of water is being drowned. That’s why God says they will not overflow you
God will be with you and not let life overwhelm you
And when you walk through the fire
the danger of fire is being burned or burned up
Isaiah 43:3 NASB95
3 “For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in your place.
He is our Savior
God saves!
He saves souls
he saves lives
he saves minds
he saves situations
I have given Egypt as a ransom
Ethiopia (southern Egypt)
Seba (northeast Egypt)
Freedom costs
I took the firstborn of Egypt instead of your first born

4 “Since you are precious in My sight, Since you are honored and I love you, I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life.
Jesus was given in exchange for us
