Take 15 minutes everyday talking to God
Take 15 minutes everyday to tell someone else about God.
Take 15 minutes everyday to let God talk to you.
1) Take 15 minutes to hear from God.
John 14:26 ESV
26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
The Holy Spirit can’t bring into remembrance what we haven’t studied.
If we don’t study the Word we are less likely to hear from God. We are less likely to hear from the Holy Spirit.
56% of American’s believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God but only 19% read it on a regular basis.
When the Bible tells me to do something I should do it. When the Bible warns me about something I should heed the warning. When the Bible tells me not to do something it’s for my own good.
Have you ever seen strange warning labels?
Usually when there is a warning label on something it means someone somewhere did the thing that the warning label telling you not to do.
Here are some strange warning;
On a cardboard windshield sun-shade: Warning do not drive with sun shield in place.
Hair dryer: Warning do not use while sleeping.
Electric Rotary Drill: Warning this product not of use for as a dental drill.
Microwave: Warning not intended for drying pets.
On a Hammer: Warning harmful if swallowed.
Child sized Superman costume. Warning wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly.
God’s Word gives us warnings to help us.
2 Timothy 3:16 M:BCL
16 Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way.
Hebrews 4:12 M:BCL
12 God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey.
Psalm 19:7–11 ESV
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; 8 the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9 the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. 11 Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
The Law or Bible or Word of God
The Bible is perfect. You build your faith on shifting options, culture or something that temporal. However the Bible is perfect. It doesn't change. Eternity is solid.
Converting = It revives, it transforms, restores.
Simple = comes from a Hebrew root word open door. Some peoples mind are an open door.
