FORGET NOT ALL HIS BENEFITS

INTRODUCTIONS:
SOMETIMES WHEN YOUR LIFE HAS BEEN SO BLESSED, IT IS SO EASY TO FORGET WHERE YOUR BENEFITS COME FROM.
THE LORD HAS BLESSED US WHEN WE WAS NOT DESERVING OF THESE BENEFITS.
SO MANY CHRISTIANS COMPLAIN ABOUT SMALL THINGS IN THERE LIVES, BUT FORGET ALL THE LORD’S BENEFITS HE HAS BESTOWED UPON US.
IF BELIEVERS WILL EVER COME TO A UNDERSTANDING OF THE DEPTHS OF GOD LOVE FOR THEM, THEY WOULD BE GRATEFUL EVERY TIME THEY COME INTO THE LORD’S PRESENCE. HOW CAN WE FORGET NOT ALL THE LORD’S BENEFITS.
A. WE NEED TO BLESS HIM. PSALM 103:1-2Bless the Lord, O my soul: And all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits:”
BLESSING THE LORD DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH HOW YOU FEEL.
DAVID DID NOT MENTION WHAT STATE OF MIND OR WHAT CONDITION HE WAS IN.
BUT DAVID DID NOT CARE IF IT WAS THE GOOD TIMES OR THE DIFFICULT TIMES, BUT THE ONE THING DAVID WAS DETERMINE TO DO WAS BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL; AND ALL THAT IS WITHIN ME. DAVID WANTED TO PRAISE THE LORD WITH EVERYTHING WITHIN HIM.
DAVID DID NOT WANT TO FORGET NOT , ALL THE LORD’S BENEFITS.
DAVID KNEW HOW TO PRAISE, HE KNEW HOW TO GET IN THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD, DAVID WAS CRAFTY WITH HIS INSTRUMENTS.
DAVID DID NOT WANT TO FORGET HOW GOD’S MERCY KEEP HIM , WHEN HE COMMITTED ADULTERY, OR WHEN HE HAD URIAH KILLED.
SOME OF US GOD HAS SAVED AND WE FORGOT WHAT GOD HAS BROUGHT US OUT OF.
WE FORGET GOD BENEFITS HE HAS LAVISHED UPON US.
WHAT IS LORD’S BENEFITS.
FORGIVETH ALL THINE INIQUITIES. SINS THAT HAD YOU ENSLAVED TO YOUR FLESH OR THE WORLD.
HEALETH ALL THY DISEASES. YOUR ILLS RATHER IT’S SICKNESS, WHETHER IT’S DEPRESSION, RATHER IT’S SEX ADDICTION, RATHER IT’S MENTAL ILLNESS, RATHER IT’S DRUGS, OUR GOD HAS SAVED US FROM ALL OF THESE THAT COULD HAVE DESTROYED US.
REDEEMETH THY LIFE FROM DESTRUCTION.
THE LORD SAVED MANY OF US FROM DESTROYING OURSELVES. HOW THE LORD DID IT HE ALLOWED US TO CREATED OUR OWN PIT.
PSALM 35:28 “And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness And of thy praise all the day long.”
B. WE NEED TO FEAR HIM.
PSALM 103:11 “For as the heaven is high above the earth, So great is his mercy toward them that fear him.”
TO FEAR THE LORD IS TO HAVE REFERENCE FOR HIM.
WE NEED TO FEAR THE LORD BASED ON WHAT HE HAS PROTECTED US FROM.
WE NEED TO FEAR THE LORD BECAUSE WE LOVE HIM.
WE NEED TO FEAR THE LORD BECAUSE HE CONTINUES TO FORGIVES US AND HAVE PITY ON US.
WE NEED TO FEAR THE LORD BECAUSE IT BRINGS US CLOSER TO HIM.
WE NEED TO FEAR THE LORD , BECAUSE WE LOOK MORE LIKE HIM.
IT SET AN EXAMPLE TO GENERATIONS TO COME.
PROVERBS 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: And the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
C. WE NEED TO OBEY HIM.
HAVING REFERENCE FOR THE LORD REQUIRES OBEDIENCE.
OBEDIENCE IS TO HEAR OR LISTEN IN A STATE OF SUBMISSION.
OBEDIENCE ALSO MEAN HAVING COMPLETE TRUST IN THE LORD.
THE BOOK OF SAMUEL SAID OBEDIENCE IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE.
OBEDIENCE IS A MEASURE OF YOUR LOVE FOR HIM.
EXODUS 19:5 “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:”
