satan’s intent on destroying Christ kingdom #2

Overthrow: Remove forcibly from power
overthrown in the bible: defeat; destruction; ruin
False Teachers & Falling Away
2 Thessalonians 2:3–5 KJV
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2 Thessalonians 2:3–5 TPT
3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. Before that day comes the rebellion must occur and the “outlaw” —the destructive son—will be revealed in his true light. 4 He is the opposing counterpart who exalts himself over everything that is called “God” or is worshiped and who sits enthroned in God’s temple and makes himself out to be a god. 5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I went over all these things?
2 Thessalonians 2:3–5 AMP
3 Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition), 4 Who opposes and exalts himself so proudly and insolently against and over all that is called God or that is worshiped, [even to his actually] taking his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God. 5 Do you not recollect that when I was still with you, I told you these things?
Foundations of Pentecostal Theology A. The Word “Antichrist” in Scripture

A. The Word “Antichrist” in Scripture.

The word “antichrist” comes from two Greek words christos meaning “Christ” or the “anointed one”; and anti meaning in this combination “against”; thus, “the one against Christ, God’s anointed.” The name “antichrist” is found only in John’s epistles (1 Jn. 2:18, 22; 4:3; 2 Jn. 7),

1 John 2:18 KJV
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
1 John 2:22 KJV
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1 John 4:3 KJV
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
2 John 7 KJV
7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Foundations of Pentecostal Theology A. The Word “Antichrist” in Scripture

The spirit of antichrist will be embodied in the “beast” described in Revelation 13:1; 11:7. The first prophetic reference to Antichrist is probably found in Genesis 3:15: “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between THY SEED and HER SEED.…” Christ is the SEED of woman. Antichrist is the SEED of Satan or the “Devil,” whose name means “slanderer,” who speaks against Christ and against His Redeemed.

Revelation 13:1 KJV
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Revelation 11:7 KJV
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
Genesis 3:15 KJV
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Foundations of Pentecostal Theology B. The Identity of the Antichrist

The spirit of antichrist has possessed many enemies of God through the ages, such as “the kings of Babylon,” a type of Satan (Is. 14:4–17

Isaiah 14:4–17 NLT
4 you will taunt the king of Babylon. You will say, “The mighty man has been destroyed. Yes, your insolence is ended. 5 For the Lord has crushed your wicked power and broken your evil rule. 6 You struck the people with endless blows of rage and held the nations in your angry grip with unrelenting tyranny. 7 But finally the earth is at rest and quiet. Now it can sing again! 8 Even the trees of the forest— the cypress trees and the cedars of Lebanon— sing out this joyous song: ‘Since you have been cut down, no one will come now to cut us down!’ 9 “In the place of the dead there is excitement over your arrival. The spirits of world leaders and mighty kings long dead stand up to see you. 10 With one voice they all cry out, ‘Now you are as weak as we are! 11 Your might and power were buried with you. The sound of the harp in your palace has ceased. Now maggots are your sheet, and worms your blanket.’ 12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world. 13 For you said to yourself, ‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars. I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north. 14 I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High.’ 15 Instead, you will be brought down to the place of the dead, down to its lowest depths. 16 Everyone there will stare at you and ask, ‘Can this be the one who shook the earth and made the kingdoms of the world tremble? 17 Is this the one who destroyed the world and made it into a wasteland? Is this the king who demolished the world’s greatest cities and had no mercy on his prisoners?’
Foundations of Pentecostal Theology B. The Identity of the Antichrist

The name “Mystery Babylon” is borne by the “great harlot” of Revelation 17:5, for she is the embodiment of anti-God religion. Many anti-christian rulers and evil men of power have been identified as the “Antichrist” through history, such as: Nero, Napoleon, Kaisar Wilhelm, Mussolini, Hitler

Foundations of Pentecostal Theology B. The Identity of the Antichrist

Some of these were no doubt motivated by the spirit of antichrist, but THE Antichrist is yet to come. He may be somewhere in the world already, but he will not be revealed until after the Rapture of the Church; so it is rather futile to try to identify him. The spirit of antichrist will continue to possess any vehicle yielded to Satan.

Revelation 17:5 KJV
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Revelation 17:5 TPT
5 On her forehead was written these mysterious titles: “The great Babylon, mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth.”
Whats Interesting is we seem to always look at a man in power to be the antichrist, but its a genderless spirit. But Rev 17 Shows this spirit Like jezebel is addressed as a women.
Can you think of some women in history that was motivated by the spirt of Antichrist?
Margaret Sanger the founder of planned parenthood believed in eugenics — an inherently racist ideology that labeled certain people unfit to have children. Eugenics is the theory that society can be improved through planned breeding for “desirable traits” like intelligence and industriousness. In the early 20th century, eugenic ideas were popular among highly educated, privileged, and mostly white Americans. Margaret Sanger pronounced her belief in and alignment with the eugenics movement many times in her writings, especially in the scientific journal Birth Control Review.
At times, Sanger tried to argue for eugenics that was not applied based on race or religion. But in a society built on the belief of white supremacy, physical and mental fitness are always judged based on race. Eugenics, therefore, is inherently racist. She held beliefs that, from the very beginning, undermined her movement for reproductive freedom and caused harm to countless people.
Sanger was so intent on her mission to advocate for birth control that she chose to align herself with ideas and organizations that were white supremacist. In 1926, she spoke to the women’s auxiliary of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) at a rally in New Jersey to promote birth control methods. Sanger endorsed the 1927 Buck v. Bell decision, in which the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that states could forcibly sterilize people deemed “unfit” without their consent and sometimes without their knowledge. The acceptance of this decision by Sanger and other thought leaders laid the foundation for tens of thousands of people to be sterilized, often against their will.
As a result of these choices, the reproductive rights movement, in many cases, deepened racial injustice in the health care system. The field of modern gynecology was founded by J. Marion Sims, who in the mid-1800s repeatedly and forcibly performed invasive experiments on enslaved Black women without anesthesia.
a.) what has been your understanding or beliefs concerning the spirit of the anti-christ?
b.) If you could identify an area of most concern, that you need to guard your spirit from which one would it be
a.) lawlessness: Lawlessness means to be without regard for the principles and regulations established by a governing authority. It means to be uncontrolled, unruly, disorderly or unbridled. In spiritual terms lawlessness is a disregard for God’s laws and His order Pierce, C. D., & Sytsema, R. W. (2007). b.) Deception of unrighteousness: SEDUCE, BEGUILE, MOCK (hāṯal), ENTICE, ERR
James 1:16 (KJV) ERR 1. πλανάω, to make to wander, cause to err, lead astray, esp. used of doctrinal error, or religious deceit

Foundations of Pentecostal Theology C. The Titles of Antichrist

1. The Beast—Rv. 13:1–4, 12–18; 15:2; 16:2; 17:8; 19:19; 20:4, 10.

Revelation 13:1–4 TPT
18 And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. 1 Then I saw a wild beast rising from the sea with ten horns and seven heads. On its horns were ten royal crowns, and on its heads were blasphemous names. 2 It was like a leopard with feet like a bear’s, and its mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon shared his power, throne, and great authority with the wild beast. 3 One of the heads of the wild beast seemed to have received a deathly wound, but the wound had been healed. After this, the whole world was filled with fascination and followed the wild beast. 4 They worshiped the dragon because he had given the beast its ruling authority. They also worshiped the wild beast, saying, “Who is like the wild beast? And who is able to make war against him?”

2. The Little Horn—Dn. 7:8; 8:9.

Daniel 7:8 KJV
8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
Daniel 8:9 NLT
9 Then from one of the prominent horns came a small horn whose power grew very great. It extended toward the south and the east and toward the glorious land of Israel.

3. The Man of Sin—2 Thes. 2:3.

He will be history’s vilest embodiment of sin and rebellion.

4. The Son of Perdition—2 Thes. 2:3.

Another title of the Man of Sin. Satan’s tool to seduce men and consign them to the realm of the lost.

5. The Wicked One—2 Thes. 2:8.

“Wicked” is from the Greek, anomos, which means the “lawless one.” He totally opposes every law of God

Romans 1:21–32 AMP
21 Because when they knew and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools [professing to be smart, they made simpletons of themselves]. 23 And by them the glory and majesty and excellence of the immortal God were exchanged for and represented by images, resembling mortal man and birds and beasts and reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their [own] hearts to sexual impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves [abandoning them to the degrading power of sin], 25 Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen (so be it). 26 For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one, 27 And the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze (burning out, consumed) with lust for one another—men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong-doing and going astray, which was [their] fitting retribution. 28 And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome, 29 Until they were filled (permeated and saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, iniquity, grasping and covetous greed, and malice. [They were] full of envy and jealousy, murder, strife, deceit and treachery, ill will and cruel ways. [They were] secret backbiters and gossipers, 30 Slanderers, hateful to and hating God, full of insolence, arrogance, [and] boasting; inventors of new forms of evil, disobedient and undutiful to parents. 31 [They were] without understanding, conscienceless and faithless, heartless and loveless [and] merciless. 32 Though they are fully aware of God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them.

6. The Willful King—Dn. 11:36–45.

Daniel 11:36–45 NLT
36 “The king will do as he pleases, exalting himself and claiming to be greater than every god, even blaspheming the God of gods. He will succeed, but only until the time of wrath is completed. For what has been determined will surely take place. 37 He will have no respect for the gods of his ancestors, or for the god loved by women, or for any other god, for he will boast that he is greater than them all. 38 Instead of these, he will worship the god of fortresses—a god his ancestors never knew—and lavish on him gold, silver, precious stones, and expensive gifts. 39 Claiming this foreign god’s help, he will attack the strongest fortresses. He will honor those who submit to him, appointing them to positions of authority and dividing the land among them as their reward. 40 “Then at the time of the end, the king of the south will attack the king of the north. The king of the north will storm out with chariots, charioteers, and a vast navy. He will invade various lands and sweep through them like a flood. 41 He will enter the glorious land of Israel, and many nations will fall, but Moab, Edom, and the best part of Ammon will escape. 42 He will conquer many countries, and even Egypt will not escape. 43 He will gain control over the gold, silver, and treasures of Egypt, and the Libyans and Ethiopians will be his servants. 44 “But then news from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in great anger to destroy and obliterate many. 45 He will stop between the glorious holy mountain and the sea and will pitch his royal tents. But while he is there, his time will suddenly run out, and no one will help him.

Jesus prayed, “Not my will but thine be done”; the Antichrist will oppose God’s Will and do his own will; he is the inspirer of all those who “do their own thing.”

The Foolish Shepherd—Zec. 11:15–17

Zechariah 11:15–17 NLT
15 Then the Lord said to me, “Go again and play the part of a worthless shepherd. 16 This illustrates how I will give this nation a shepherd who will not care for those who are dying, nor look after the young, nor heal the injured, nor feed the healthy. Instead, this shepherd will eat the meat of the fattest sheep and tear off their hooves. 17 “What sorrow awaits this worthless shepherd who abandons the flock! The sword will cut his arm and pierce his right eye. His arm will become useless, and his right eye completely blind.”
Foundations of Pentecostal Theology C. The Titles of Antichrist

Jesus is the Good Shepherd who preserves; Antichrist is the worthless shepherd who devours.
