Exodus 33: The Presence of God

Sermon in a sentence: God is worth it all.

God’s presence is the best covenant blessing (vs. 1-6)

God was going go give the people the land and blessings but not himself.

Moses wanted God’s presence more than anything.

God’s presence should lead to repentance.

God’s presence is where we should seek wisdom (7-11)

Moses met with God.

Joshua, the apprentice of Moses, was being discipled.

God’s presence is assurance (vs. 12-23)

We know we are God’s people because his presence is with us.

He has confirmed this with the person and work of Jesus Christ.
