IV. Unity

God is not divided into parts. Yet, we see different attributes of God emphasized at different times. GRUDEN
Scripture never singles out one attribute of God as more important than others.

A. God is not a collection of attributes.

B. His attributes are not additions to His real being.

C. God whole being includes all of his attributes. He is entirely loving, entirely just, entirely righteous, etc...

1 John 4:8 ESV
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Psalm 7:11 ESV
God is a righteous judge, and a God who feels indignation every day.
Joel 2:13 ESV
and rend your hearts and not your garments.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster.
