Song- How great is our God-Chris Tomlin
Beginning Prayer:
Scripture Reading:
1 Corinthians 13:1–13 (CSB)
1 If I speak human or angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give away all my possessions, and if I give over my body in order to boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant, 5 is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs. 6 Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will come to an end. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put aside childish things. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, as I am fully known. 13 Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love—but the greatest of these is love.
Philippians 4:10–13 (CSB)
10 I rejoiced in the Lord greatly because once again you renewed your care for me. You were, in fact, concerned about me but lacked the opportunity to show it. 11 I don’t say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I find myself. 12 I know how to make do with little, and I know how to make do with a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content—whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. 13 I am able to do all things through him who strengthens me.

Song - Knowing what I know about heaven- Guy Penrod
Let us pray
Prayer:
Lord, You fashioned us while we were yet in our mothers’ womb. You have provided for us, and you have guided us through this journey of life. Now we are faced with the reality of death, for our loved one has come to the end of life. So, even now, we put our trust in You. Give us comfort in our sorrow. Help us to focus on You, on the eternity You offer when we follow You. In Jesus’ name we pray these things. Amen

Dearly friends,
We gathered here today to celebrate the life and honor the memory of our beloved brother on Christ, Brad Lee Rendleman, who has gone on to be with the Lord.
In times like this, it is natural to feel
overwhelmed by sorrow,
to question the fairness of life,
and to grapple with the inevitable nature of mortality.
But, while our hearts may be heavy with grief, we as Christians, find our hope and comfort in the promises of our faith.
We also cherish the memories we shared, and find solace in the love and support we offer one another in Christ.
As we remember Brad, let us not only recall the joyful moments and the laughter shared, but also the times of struggle and sadness, for it is through these experiences that he showed resilience and perseverance.
Life is a tapestry woven from both, moments of joy and sorrow, and Brad embraced them all with grace and dignity.
He touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy that will endure through the ages.
The Bible reminds us in
Slide
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2, "For everything, there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die."
Today, we find ourselves facing that inevitable time of departure, where we say goodbye to Brad's earthly presence.
But let us take solace in the knowledge that this is not the end;
But rather a new beginning, for he has embarked on a journey to a better place.
As Christians, we believe in the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and because of that, we have the blessed assurance that death is not the end.
We are given that confidence in the book of John
Slide
John 11:25-26, Jesus said to Martha, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die."
Brad believed in the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and we know that his soul is now at rest in the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus.
Let us remember Brad for
the life he lived,
for the love he shared,
and for the impact he made on all of us.
He was a living testament to the teachings of Christ, always showing kindness, and Christ like love to others.
His faith was unwavering, and he lived a life that reflected the light of Christ to those around him.
In times like these, we might find ourselves questioning why God allows such sorrow and pain.
But it is during these moments of uncertainty that we must lean on our faith even more.
We may not understand the reasons behind everything, but we know that God is a loving and merciful Father, and Brad is now in His presence, free from all suffering and pain.
Let us also find comfort in the words of the Psalms, for instance
Slide
Psalm 34:18, which says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
As we mourn today, God is with us, embracing us in His love and providing the strength we need to carry on.
We are not alone in our grief; the Lord walks with us through every valley, and He will carry us through this difficult time.
As we bid farewell to Brad today, let us honor his memory by following in his footsteps, living lives of love, compassion, and faith.
Let us cherish the time we had with him and the memories we shared. And let us look forward to the day when we will be reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
May we find comfort in knowing that Brad's soul is at peace, resting in the loving embrace of Jesus.
Let us celebrate a life well-lived, and as we say our final goodbyes, let us do so with the hope of the resurrection and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
