Love God with All Your Heart
Me:

Life gets in the way.

a. 135 Pounds
i. Tell the story.
ii. Sometimes you just have to go back to the basics
b. Life can get overwhelming.
Image i. We live in a world of noise.
ii. In a world filled with distractions and busyness
iii. It can be challenging to maintain our focus on what truly matters.
iv. Sometimes we need a reset button.
v. Go back to basics of our Christian walk.
I want to focus on 10 principles of Godly living.
We:

10 Principles of Godly living

Love God with all your heart

i. Embrace a personal relationship with God.

Love your neighbor as yourself.

i. Demonstrate love, compassion, and kindness towards others.

Prayer

i. We need to cultivate a life of prayer.

Study the Bible

i. Learn of the importance of regular bible study
ii. Our goal is to gain spiritual understanding and wisdom.

Forgiveness

i. We will learn to forgive others as God forgives you.

Humility

i. We need grace and humility is the answer.

Holiness

i. God says be holy as I am holy.

Generosity

i. Be a giver not a taker.

Service

i. Let us learn how we can serve each other.

Evangelism

i. We have a big crowd that Sunday.
God:

Love God with All Your Heart

a. The biblical command is clear.
i. Mark 12:30 (NLT) — 30 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’

ii. This is my greatest desire.
iii. I want that deep communion with God.

There’s a problem.

i. In a world filled with distractions and busyness.
ii. It can be challenging to maintain our focus on what truly matters.
c. Problem 2
i. Sin can fill our hearts.

There is a solution.

i. Amidst the noise and chaos.
ii. The command to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart" stands as a powerful reminder of our primary calling as followers of Christ.
What does it mean to love God with all our heart?
i. It goes beyond superficial emotions or fleeting feelings.
ii. Loving God with all our heart involves a deep, committed, and intentional relationship with Him.
iii. It means surrendering every aspect of our lives to His Lordship.
iv. Making Him the center of our thoughts.
v. The center of our desires.
vi. The center of our actions.

When we love God with all our heart.

i. We find fulfillment and purpose.
ii. Life has meaning.
iii. Our hearts were created with a God-shaped void that only He can fill.
When we embrace this love relationship with Him.
i. We discover true contentment.
ii. A sense of belonging.
iii. Something bigger than ourselves.
You:

Loving God with all your heart.

a. Requires devotion and dedication.
i. It involves spending time with Him in prayer.
1. Did you know hurry is the death of prayer?
ii. Focusing on God’s Word.
iii. Seek His guidance!
iv. For every area of your life.
It's not merely a Sunday routine.
i. It's a lifestyle of intimate communion with our Heavenly Father.

When you love God life changes.

i. In moments of joy, our hearts overflow with gratitude towards God.
ii. During times of hardship, our hearts find solace and strength in His comforting presence.
iii. When we face trials, our hearts are anchored in His promises,
1. Knowing that He works all things for our good.

Our priorities shift.

v. We become beacons of hope in a world that desperately needs the light of Christ.

Let us examine our hearts today.

a. Are there areas where we have held back from loving God fully?
i. Are there idols or distractions that hinder our devotion to Him?
ii. Let us yield every corner of our hearts to Him, allowing His love to flow freely within us.
iii. Confess any sin that is weighing you down.
