What are getting ready for?
What are getting ready for?
“Be ready for service and have your lamps lit. You are to be like people waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet so that when he comes and knocks, they can open the door for him at once. Blessed will be those servants the master finds alert when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will get ready, have them recline at the table, then come and serve them. If he comes in the middle of the night, or even near dawn, and finds them alert, blessed are those servants. But know this: If the homeowner had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
Get ready…get ready to go, get ready for church, ready for work, ready for dinner, ready for bed.
Get ready…get ready to go, get ready for church, ready for work, ready for dinner, ready for bed.
There are a lot of things we have to get ready for. Every day, not just once.
There are a lot of things we have to get ready for. Every day, not just once.
We need to be told, and reminded on a regular basis or we become distracted with life and current activities.
We need to be ready to serve the Lord…we can’t let the affairs of life and things that happen be an excuse to not serve. Too busy, too tired...
that means we serve...
People
The church
In the harvest
2. We need to get ready to fight the good fight of faith. The enemy is seeking whom he can devour. Try to chew you up and spit you out. Peter said to be sober, vigilant…Put on the whole armour of God
“Not today Satan”
3. Get ready for a move of God. God moves seasonally, we must be in position, postured, and prepared. Place, in the right state of mind and heart.
Acts 3:19-20 “Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send Jesus, who has been appointed for you as the Messiah.”
4. We need to get ready for the coming of the Lord. He is coming at an hour we don’t expect. Don’t need to wait to get ready.
Ready to give an account for what you did or didn’t do. Well done?
Ready to go.
