The Gospel which was preached of Paul

Paul’s conversion proves the divine work of the gospel and the weakness of man’s works

Gospel- The Revelation of Jesus Christ

Paul clarifies once again (vs 1) that his message came from Jesus

This is not a manmade religion or ideology but the Gospel is that God came to us

The gospel is not man goes to God through their works and rituals

The gospel is Jesus came to us even when we were great sinners (Rom 5:8)

This truth of who Jesus is comes from the Holy Spirit, through God’s messengers to the nations

The Gospel is God’s work to save sinners through the work of his Son, Jesus Christ the Lord. That is why we call it conversion, a changing from one thing to another

Before his conversion, Paul had all the things that these false teachers were pushing on the Galatians

It profited him nothing before God but only before men

this is probably the words the false preachers used

It was his run in with Christ that brought salvation not all of his religious works

It was God’s grace that saved him from religion, did not deserve

God called him to preach Christ, not his religious works

Why pick up the waste after you have removed it from your life?

Because the Gospel is God’s work to bring about change in our life, those who glory, glory in the name of Christ

The Gospel that Paul received from God was not different from Peter’s message

Paul is saying he is independent from Peter not different

That Peter as well rejoiced in the work that God was doing through Paul to reach the gentiles with Christ (18)

The Gospel that was made evident in Paul’s life was cause for rejoicing among the believers in Judaea
