The Second Woe, Vs 15

Converts to anything usually start out more zealous than their converters

Destructive teaching. They condemn them by converting them.

“Son of hell” Not the teddy bear Jesus

The Third Woe, Vs 16-22

Vs 16-17, Common theme with there hedge laws, Not the source of holiness, but their traditions around it. (They take something from God, and make the focus about their traditions rather than God.)

Very obvious, transcendent value

Vs 18, They ignore Ex. 29:37.

21-22,

The point of all of this is to show that Oaths are always seen by God

Perhaps they subconsciously thought of a technicality to get out of oaths, like they did with Korban.

but it still bound them by God to their oath
