Game: What can you buy?
Give each student one stack of monopoly bills.
Have them write down a shopping list to spend all their money at Wal-mart.
Ask them: "If you took those bills to Walmart what would you actually be able to buy?
It doesn't matter that you have bills, you have to have the right bills.
Explain: Jesus was able to pay for our sin because he is God, became flesh without sin, and died for us.
Sponsor: Tell of your favorite substitute teacher. Or have students talk about their substitute teachers.
A substitute is someone who does something in our place.
Jesus was our substitute in that he died in our place.
