Dont Fear, I Am Here

2 Timothy 4:17

As we read this scripture. there are 5 things I would like to point out and speak about.

1. He strengthens

2. He delivers

3. He preserves

4. He stands by you

5. His will be done

Have you ever been in a situation where you where afraid of something or someone. Maybe you were lost in a city, town that you were not familiar with. Or maybe someone tried breaking into your home while you were there. Maybe you decided to step out in faith and teach the children and now, you were regretting it. It does not matter the 5 points are from every scenario you can face. By Faith.

Lt’s take a look at point 1.

He strengthens you

But we need to do something before He can strengthen us,

Ephesians 6:10-20 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for…”

Before He can strengthen us we need to put on His armor. Because without His armor we are just sitting ducks.

When we feel strengthen by God then we can focus on worshipping Him. Remember not focus on the world and its problems but in God and His will.

When we are strengthened by God, we will win and we should know that. God does not make losers He makes winners.

When Evelyn played water polo I remember telling her. Once you learn to swim, then you can focus on the game. But if you are still trying to swim then you will be focused on swimming and not paying the game.

If I speak to that person then they are going to say this or that. If they see me walking around with my bible, then they might think this or that.

We are so worried about swimming we forget about playing the game.

Now, what does He need to strengthen us from or for. For one, He needs to strengthen us to block all darts coming from the devil.

He also strengthen us for the ministry. Many of us who have stepped out in faith to serve at one point or another did not feel adequately prepared to do. We had to learn that God does the equipping.

Psalm 28:7

Proverbs 10:29

The Lord will strengthen you.

He told Joshua be strong and of good courage.

If you ask for strength will He give you strength, if you ask for patience will He give you patience, If you ask for courage will He give you courage.

If you asked for strength He will give you the opportunity to be strong. If you asked for patience then He will give you the opportunity to be patient. If you asked for courage He will give you the opportunity to be courage's.

If we are never place in situation where our Faith, Strength, Courage, Patience is going to grow then we are not going to develop the way we need to be developed.

2nd point

He delivers us

Delivers us from what or for what. Well you might not like what you are about to hear.

He might deliver you into persecution.

John 15:18-25

If they hated Jesus they will hate you as well.

He might deliver you from persecution

One thing I know is that the more He delivers you the more you know He will deliver you. The more your faith will increase.

Remember Shadrach, Meshach, Abed-Nego, they were thrown into the Fiery furnace.

Nebuchadnessar was enraged, he was mad. he order the fiery furnace to be heated up 7 times the normal heat. In fact it was so hot that the people throwing the three into the furnace were burnt and killed.

This furnace was heat up to 7 times the normal heat because Nebuchadnezzar was enraged that the three did not bow to him.

But while the king saw them in the furnace he asked did we not send three, why do I see 4 walking as if nothing is going on. The king called them out and promoted them

Then in the same book we have Daniel and the lions den. The Lord also delivered him from the mouth of the lions.

The Lord closes the lions mouth.

You might think these are extreme cases but they are not. How many time has the Lord delivered you from an accident.

On Tuesday as I was driving on the 101 North I saw an accident, i did not witness the accident But I saw the accident.

Loosing my breaks in the jeep.

Going to my appointment and not the dealer.

A car...

Or running a red light, by accident of course. Please don’t be those people who run red lights, then in the back of your car it says Calvary chapel hacienda Heights. Follow the rule of the land.

If we notice and pay attention we can see when we are delivered.

3rd point

He preserves us

Even when we feel that our lives are but breaking apart we have to believe that they are being placed into perfect formation by God. Even when we face these trials in our life, we have to believe that God is preserving us for His good will to be done in and through us. Remember you were placed here in earth to accomplish His good will.

Preserved in Jesus Christ.

4th Point

Stands with you

Like I like to say, do you stand with Him

Who am I to say that God stands with me.

I remember when I was in elementry, we would play game

Kickball, dodgeball or any other game.

I would want to be with the winning team. I would chose to be on the winning team.

If I thought you had a weak team i would not want to be on your team, or if you thought I was a weak player then you would not want me on your team.

Do I want God to be part of my team. I can assure you my players are weak.

Or

I can chose to be in Gods team where His payers are much much stronger than my players.

We need to stand by Him and not Him by us.

Joshua 5:13-14

Luke 11:17

If He is on your team, is your team fully devoted to God.

For example, do you read the Bible everyday.

No, can you wake up 30 minutes earlier to read the word.

You might say, I need my sleep

Would I want to be on your team.

It is inherent in this state

Of blessedness, to keep ourselves within

The Divine Will, by which our wills with His

Are one. So that as we, from step to step,

Are placed throughout this kingdom, pleases all,

Even as our King, who in us plants His will;

And in His will is our tranquility.

We have to make sure we stand with Him.

Why would I want God on my side when I am weak.

He is stronger, wiser, and smarter than me. I would rather be on His side.

5th Point

His will be done

I believe this is where most people fail. We fail to remember that it is God’s will and not ours.

We say things like

Ill give God 2 weeks and if not then I will.

God’s not answering me therefore I will

I prayed and I feel the Lord ids guiding me this way without meditating on His word.

Many decisions are made out of emotions.

I always tell my daughter, never wear your emotions on your sleeves.

Let emotions be like water of a ducks back.

Make decisions based on logic and reason. Biblical

Many will make decisions based on convenience.

Is it better for me, without even thinking about what the Lord wants.

You know I am going to leave the church because its better for my children, I am leaving the state because its better for my wife,

I am leaving the church because it is too small

Convenience, let’s not make decisions based on convenience.

The King of kings, the Lord of lords, the creator of the Heavens and the Earth, Majestic, Awesome in power, yet loving, compassionate, merciful. yet He continues to call us His children.

5. His will be done through us

We serve an awesome God, don’t ever forget that.
