STAYING CONNECTED

INTRODUCTION:
IT IS IMPORTANT WHILE WE LIVE IN THESE EVIL TIMES THAT WE STAY CONNECTED.
.WHEN WE ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE LORD, WE LEAVE OUR GUARDS DOWN FOR THE ENEMIES ATTACK.
WE MUST STAY FOCUS SO THAT GOD WILL BE ABLE TO USE OUR LIVES AS INSTRUMENTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
THE DEVIL’S TRAGEDY IS TO KEEP US FROM DRAWING CLOSE TO GOD SO THAT WE WILL NOT EXPERIENCE THE JOY IN SERVING THE LORD.
TODAY I LIKE TO TALK ABOUT THE PURPOSE OF STAYING CONNECTED.
WHEN YOU ARE CONNECTED YOU ARE PURGED BY THE LORD.
WHEN YOU ARE CONNECTED YOU’RE FRUITFUL.
WHEN YOU ARE CONNECTED HIS WORD ABIDE IN YOU.
A. WHEN YOU ARE CONNECTED YOU ARE PURGED BY THE LORD.
JOHN 15:1-3 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.”
THE WORD PURGE MEANS TO CLEAN, TO PURIFY, OR MAKE WHOLE.
THE LORD HAS TO TAKE AWAY THINGS IN OUR LIVES THAT WILL CONTAMINATE OR DISCONNECT US FORM HIM, SO THAT WE CAN BEAR FRUIT.
IT’S IMPORTANT THAT WE BE CAREFUL OF THE COMPANY WE KEEP.
THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO CAN GET IN THE WAY OF OUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH.
HOW YOU CAN IDENTIFY WHO THEY ARE , THERE DO NOT HAVE A DESIRE TO LIVE FOR THE LORD.
WHEN THE LORD PURGE YOU THE PROCESS CAN BE PAINFUL.
WHAT THE LORD IS DOING IS REMOVING THE IMPURITIES THAT WILL KILL THE FRUIT IN YOUR LIVES.
WHEN THE LORD REMOVE MESS OUT OF YOUR LIFE, YOU ARE ABLE TO MAKE AN IMPACT ON OTHER’S LIVES.
PURGING IS A CONTINUOUS PROCESS THAT KEEP US HOLY BEFORE THE LORD.
HOW THE LORD CLEANS US IS THROUGH HIS WORD.
JOHN 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
B. WHEN YOU ARE CONNECTED YOU’RE FRUITFUL.
JOHN 15: 5-6 “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.”
THE FRUITFUL LIFE BEGINS IN A BELIEVER, WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT PRESENCE DWELLS WITHIN HIM.
THE HOLY SPIRIT HAVE TO BE THE DOMINATE FACTOR IN YOUR LIFE TO BEAR FRUIT.
IF YOUR LIFE IS CONTROLLED MY YOUR FLESH IT BRINGS FORTH DEAD WORKS.
WHEN YOUR LIFE IS CONNECTED TO THE VINE, THE VINE CAN LIVE HIS LIFE THROUGH YOU.
BECAUSE WITHOUT THE CHRIST LIFE LIVING IN YOU , LIFE BECOME USELESS.
IN ORDER FOR US TO BE A DISCIPLE OF GOD, WE HAVE TO HAVE GODLY BEHAVIOR.
BECAUSE GODLY BEHAVIOR PRODUCE A FRUITFUL LIFE.
I AM NOT SAYING THAT GOD CANNOT USE A BELIEVER IF HE FALL, BUT GOD WILL HAVE TO CLEAN HIM UP BEFORE HE CAN BECOME FRUITFUL.
ROMANS 6:22 “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.”
C. WHEN YOU ARE CONNECTED THE LORD’S WORD ABIDE IN YOU.
JOHN 15:7 “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
THE WORD ABIDE MEANS TO STAY OR REMAIN.
IF YOU WILL CONTINUE TO TRUST IN THE LORD AND STAY FAITHFUL TO HIS WORD, YOU ARE ABLE TO ASK GOD FOR ANYTHING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL.
BECAUSE GOD’S WORD IS HIS WILL, YOU’RE ABLE TO MATURE TO THE LEVEL ASKING INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING.
FOR GOD’S WORD TO ABIDE IN YOU, YOU HAVE TO SPEND TIME WITH HIM.
YOU DON’T UPROOT YOURSELF WHEN THINGS NOT GOING RIGHT IN YOUR LIFE, BECAUSE IF THE WORD IS ABIDING IN YOU, YOU ARE GROUNDED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT LIVES WITHIN YOU.
WHEN THAT WORD IS ABIDING IN YOU, YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHEN YOU.
THE WORD KEEPS ME IN THE WILL OF GOD, THE WORD RESTRAINS ME FROM GOING OUTSIDE OF THE WILL OF GOD, THE WORD ENERGIZE ME, WHEN i BECOME WEARY, THE WORD GIVES ME A PEACE OF MIND WHEN I AM IN THE MID’ST OF A STORM, THE WORD CONVICTS ME WHEN I AM WRONG, THE WORD FIGHT MY BATTLES WHEN THE DEVIL IS AGAINST ME, THE WORD GIVES ME WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING TO MAKE WISE CHOICES.
MARK 13:31 “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”
