Faith-Full Faith Leads You To Good Company

Luke 8:1–3 (ESV)

We have already said that Faith will put you on the move. Faith will lead you to Jesus.

Today we are going to look at how faith will bring us together and build us as a community.

Lets look at what Jesus is teaching in Luke 8

Faith Will Bring you To Jesus, Faith will Lead to Healing, Faith will call you to Follow Jesus.

1 Soon afterward he went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him, 2 and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities:

faith lead this people to Jesus to look for help

Their Faith in jesus christ healed them ( he always calmed by faith you are healed)

Faith had called them to follow jesus.

Faith will help you remove the things that haunt you.

Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out

We think of demons like in Hollywood. but that is not always the demon we are trying to get rid of. these demons are sometimes man made.

self doubt

Brokenness

Complacency

self harm

false teaching

Addiction

destructive habits

its not always the big things that haunt you and bring you down.

Faith will bring the people to help you.

, 3 and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s household manager, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their means.

faith brings people together because we are walking to the same goal. No matter where we start from we are all heading in the same direction.

God will send the people we need around us at every step of the way.

sometime we have to look for them

sometimes that are very eventide.

Sometime if we are not careful we will miss the people God is trying to send us because we are paying to much attention to the people we want around us.

we need to ask our selves are the people that are closes to me adding to my life, or taking away from my life

everyone has a little give and take

but if it is all take and no give, then that is a relationship that needs to go

How do we find the people that God is sending our way.

Find people who are one their way to be who you want to be

Proverbs 13:20 (ESV)

20 Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

if you want to be intelligent, spend time with intelligent people

if you want to be wealthy spend time with wealthy people

if you want to be loving, spend time with loving people.

who you want to become, find people who are going the same way

the worst thing that you can do is be someone who wants to better yourself surrounded by people who are satisfied with staying where they are.

Learn to Move away from bad Company

1 Corinthians 15:32–34 (ESV)

32 What do I gain if, humanly speaking, I fought with beasts at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.” 33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” 34 Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

Invest in the quality of a friend not quantity

Proverbs 18:24 (ESV)

24 A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

it is possible to have so many friends that you have none

who is your go to’s

Who are you ride or dies ( just don't die)

who are the ones you go to in your hard times

focus more on them then the hundreds of others who just know you

Choose people who will help you not hurt you.

2 Corinthians 6:14–16 (ESV)

14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

now help can mean a lot of things. we love to only want the help we like.

we need people who will tell us the truth no matter what to help us get on the right track no matter if it hurts our feelings or not.
