Sword of the Spirit

What is this sword we speak of?

Prayer first:

Question:

If you were to go fight a battle, what would be your weapon of choice?

Do you think you could win the battle with that weapon?

What about fighting a spiritual battle? Who here can describe what a spiritual battle is?

Against good and evil

against the devils schemes

against the world and its evil

So, what weapon would you use in a spiritual battle?

Heres what the Bible says, and its about putting on the full armor of God…and yall remember the other armor piece we did, right?

Okay! So Ephesians 6:17 “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

What is the sword of the spirit?

the word of God/aka the Bible

And how do we use that during a battle?

This is one of the greatest weapons you can find. Because it will not only give you peace, but will bring you closer to God and save you when the devil tries to attack you.

Ephesians 6:11–12 NIV

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Craft - They build swords and they have to test them out
