Faith as Old as Time

Our problem
Our problem
We are constantly in a poistion to exert faith but we often make excuses to keep ourselves from being faithful. And, we think this is because we are quite sophisticated and modern and not because we are faithless like all those whom we read about in the Scriptures.
But, we are not so modern. We are not sophisticated. We are, undoubtedly, the same exact creatures of habit and faithless action as everyone else who has ever lived. We are not smarter or more knowledgeable, or dealing with more difficult questions than other ages of men. We are dealing with the same questions. We are dealing with the same difficulties. We are not new.
Faith has always been the instrument by which we see the truths of God - and it cannot be any other way because faith is not an instrument to discern visible things. It is the instrument to see beyond, to the Creator himself and into the realities of the promises and words and commands of that Creator.
