2. The Product of Perverted Versions.

3. The Place of Perverted Versions.

4. The Possession of Perverted Versions.

I. The Preacher of Perverted Versions.

A common thread among these preachers.

Bible correcting to make themselves look intelligent

Bible correcting to make a show in front of peers

A common threat to these preachers.

A Christian with an 8th grade education

A common thief among these preachers.

The Devil! He stole their Bibles!

II. The Problems of Perverted Versions.

The seventeen verses left out.

Seventeen Verses Left Out

Matthew 17:21; 18:11; 23:14; Mark 7:16; 9:44, 46; 11:26; 15:28; Luke 17:36; 23:17; John 5:4; Acts 8:37; 15:34; 24:7; 28:29; Rom 16:24; 1 John 5:7

These “scholars” never understood these verses:

Deuteronomy 4:2 2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Proverbs 30:6 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Revelation 22:18-19 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

The attacks on the Deity of Christ.

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

The translators of modern versions versus KJB translators.

Modern translators may or may not hold degrees in Biblical languages, but almost none of them can speak those languages. (Illus--Going into a Greek Restaurant and not understanding the owner; arrogance takes over and the scholar thinks the Greek does not know how to properly speak Greek!)

KJB translators were fluent in writing and speaking at least 3 languages.

One of them would learn to read and write a new language every time there was a summer break in college

No women on the KJB committee

No payment for their work!

III. The Power of Perverted Versions.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

There is no converting power to them.

God said, “not of corruptible seed” and we must believe God!

1 Corinthians 2:13

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

2 Corinthians 2:17

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Let’s compare 1 Peter 1:23 with Romans 10:17

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

There is no changing power in them.

Here are the basic things you find where the modern versions reign in a church:

You find compromise in standards

You find cult type beliefs

You find convenience
