Expository Sermon Outline:

Theme……………………………………….. Broken

                        Introduction:

                                                                                                             I.      “I walk down the road.  There is a deep hole in the road.  I fall in.  I am lost…I am helpless.  It isn’t my fault.  It takes me forever to find my way out”

II.      I walk down the same road.  There is a deep hole in the road.  I pretend I don’t see it.  I fall again.  I can’t believe I am in the same place, but it isn’t my fault.  It still takes me a long time to get out.

III.      I walk down the same road.  There is a deep hole in the road.  I see it is there.  I still fall in…it’s a habit.  My eyes are open.  I know where I am.  It is my fault.  It is my fault.  I get out immediately.

IV.      I walk down the same road.  There is a deep hole in the road.  I walk around it.

                                                                                                          V.      I walk down another road.

Conclusion:  Don’t leave thinking you’re alone. Don’t leave today thinking there is no hope or that you will always be the way you are.  God called Israel out from the valley of dry bones and he wants to do it for you.  Perhaps Robert Frost said it best, “Two roads diverged in a wood.  And I, I took the one less traveled.  That has made all the difference”.
