Why Does Children’s Ministry Matter

Kid’s are being abandoned now physically more that ever before and sadly spiritually abandoned as well. We cannot see this dip. We have to foster our children’s spiritual needs not just baby sit 2-3 hours a week.

What happens in the children’s area during Bible Study, Worship, and Sunday school is just as important as what goes on with the adults.

What is a successful Children’s Ministry time look like?

Our #1 Goal is for kids to know that Jesus Loves them

This is not a simple saying but a truth that you have to believe in order to help them believe.

This should allow us to see some successes

Spending time with God alone

We teach what we believe about God, man, sin, and Jesus. This topics aren’t brought up specifically but are addressed when we teach about how God made us in his image. God made Eve because Adam needed a helper to help in the only way a woman could. We talk about Zacheaus being disliked by almost everyone but Jesus loved him because of that. We talk about the woman at the well who felt unworthy. We talk about Jesus giving us peace.

We address these topics every week so we don’t have to “keep up with the times” God’s word is eternal.

Your own Spiritual Walk

Serving is a great discipling tool. However it has to be a part of discipleship process. It cannot be the only discipling you are receiving. You can only pour out of a well that is being poured into.

81% of children’s ministry workers are not completely satisfied with their spiritual life. Do not let your spiritual journey suffer because you are constantly pouring out.
