1. Abraham puts importantce into God’s will

and I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and earth, that you will not get a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I live,

He is getting older and before death, people usully find the most important work in their lives.

inherit property and money, traveling, contacting precious people.

If you prepare something before death, the preparation is very important and worth.

The most important and precious work to Abraham was to do God’s work and follow His promise. Getting a wife from Abraham’s family instead of getting the wife from the daughters of the Cannnites, means taking a wife who knows God and believe in Him.

Abraham hold God’s word and promise that his seed will com and save sinners, so he put the priority on marriage of Issac. 24:8

The LORD, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my birth, and who spoke to me and swore to me, ‘To your offspring I will give this land,’ he will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.

To Him, achiving God’s will is the most important thing in his life.

Even though he was weak before trainning of the faith, now, he firmly hold and follow the Word of God.

나이가 많이 들었고 하나님이 아브라함이 하는 일마다 복을 주었다는 말씀 속에서 어떤 의미의 복을 말씀하시는지 내다볼 수 있다.

노년이 되었을 때 그 사람이 계획하고 준비하는 것은 그의 인생에서 가장 중요한 것이다 가장 가치를 두는 일이다.

아브라함에게 가장 중요한 사명은 하나님의 언약, 즉 말씀을 순종하여 그 분의 뜻을 이루는 일이다.

믿음의 연단을 받기 전에 아브라함은 연약한 모습을 많이 보였다.

Application

What is the most important thing in your life?

We should be trained and tested in the Word of God.

We have to expect that God want train us and make us to gradually pursue His will.

I want you to chellenge something to enjoy Him.

여러분을 연단하시고 점차적으로 하나님의 뜻을 추구하게 하시는 하나님을 기대해야 한다.

When I was in college, I wanted to know deeply about the kingdom of God. Then I saw an advertisement for an exchange student program. It was a seminary in America. I started asking God to go to that school after one year. The contents of my prayer resolution before God were to pray earnestly every day, read one chapter of the Bible every day, and study English for 3 hours a day.

2. Co-workership in the community of God

And he said, “O LORD, God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today and show steadfast love to my master Abraham. 13 I am standing here by the spring of water, and the daughters of the townspeople are coming out to draw water.

Chellenge to pursue the will of God and pray for the work.

To live according to the will og God, we pray constantly and desperately.

Abraham pursue God to build a house of the faith, salvation of his family and community of faith.

Applicatin

God gave and allowes us people and community, and relationships of faith.

If you pursue the house, relationship, will of God, and people to be saved with desperate prayer, God will bless you in all things. In this way, Abrahan was blessed by God.

하나님을 기쁘시게 하려는 믿음의 사람에게는 그 마음을 통한는 동역자들이 세워진다.
