Who are we as Image Church?
What does it mean to be anointed?
But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
The Seat
“Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh”
when one is provided with a seat at the table, it represents an opportunity to be heard and to make a difference.
What does your table represent?
For Moses it was challenging an oppressive system.
It could be a table that represents your family
It could be a table that represents your neighborhood
It could be a table that represents different policies and initiatives
It could be a table that addresses homeliness
It could be a table that addresses healthcare
It could be a table that focuses on women’s empowerment
It could be a table that focuses on mental health
Trust me there is a table for you…
Question: Who is Pharoah at this table?
Your voice matters!
Remember I am God’s representative at this table!
Leadership
“Bring the children out of Egypt”
Leading people can be challenging
Remember his last encounter with his “own” people wasn’t so pleasant…
Where God is sending me, may be a place of resistance
Everyone will not be happy with you
The ask may feel overwhelming. (And it’s okay)
There will be times that you will look at the task in front of you and ask “Who am I?”
According to “The Baily Group”
In particular, empathy, communication, decision-making, resilience, delegation, self-awareness, and agility constitute the seven most important leadership traits in today’s business environment.
Strategy
“Bring the children out of Egypt”
Not only do I need to lead people but I need a strategy to lead people out of something…
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
Think about this…
God made a heavy ask....
It’s feels overwhelming and impossible
But God was pushing Moses to depend on Him and now his own ability.
He said, “But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”
“But I will be with you”
(Give testimonies about how God is with you)
God gives Moses reassurance
“This shall be the sign for you that I have sent you”
“When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”
Where God is sending you, is going to bring you back full circle…
