Three components of the gospel from the bridge:
Do you believe that God created man to be in a relationship with him.
One ministry has a motto that goes like this:
You were made for this!
You were made for this!
As any kid there were high and low points growing up. But since I wanted to be a great basketball player, as a senior in high school with our team winning and everything going according to plan, our team was winning, I was scoring a lot of points. How could I still feel empty.
How can certain people who are super successful: whether it is relationally, financially, fame, feel so empty.
Jim Carey said this:
"I hope everybody could get rich and famous and will have everything they ever dreamed of, so they will know that its not the answer." - Jim Carrey.
"I hope everybody could get rich and famous and will have everything they ever dreamed of, so they will know that its not the answer." - Jim Carrey.
It is because success without being connected to our creator is still emptiness.
Man’s solution is to try to fill ourselves up with more of what made us empty in the first place.
“There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator, made know through Jesus Christ.”― Pascal
“There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator, made know through Jesus Christ.”― Pascal
We have the one solution to this dilemma:
Jesus said
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
Man was created to enjoy and glorify God.
Man was created to enjoy and glorify God.
So when we share good news it is with this in mind. That we have the hope of the world in our hands, the only eternal hope.
And if we will venture to step out and share good news we actually become the answer to prayer that Jesus prayed.
Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.
Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd.
Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
“Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
Three objectives that must be included in the gospel.
P A R T 1: Objective- Is to help them understand that they are sinful and separated from God.
P A R T 1: Objective- Is to help them understand that they are sinful and separated from God.
If you don’t know you are sinner you wont think you need a savior.
Most people will acknowledge they are a sinner but most people do not think their sin is so bad
Now some will.
Our SIN IS SERIOUS.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
But many think I am not as bad as this guy.
For an extreme example we are a lot better than Hitler.
But here is my question if I had a pure glass of water and I dropped just a small drop of poison in it and you could not see it, but you knew it was there would you still drink it?
Since God is completely perfect one SIN cannot come into his presence.
All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all
To fall on Him.
Ephesians 2:1-3 “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.”
As we are sharing this bridge illustration especially when we first start we don’t have to reference all these verses, but we see that from the first objective. FOR the wages of sin is death-the payment for sin is death.
P A R T 2: Objective- Is to help them see that God offers us eternal life as a free gift because Christ paid the penalty for our sins.

PART 3: Objective- Is to help them see that they need to individually receive Christ and tell them how. You must “close the deal” by asking, “Would you like to receive Christ?”
