6:36–40 Gideon seems to lack confidence in Yahweh’s protection. His repeated request for signs suggests doubt and uncertainty rather than faith. Nevertheless, Yahweh does not condemn Gideon’s uncertainty here; rather, He patiently acts to encourage his faith by granting the signs for which Gideon asks. Yahweh also gave signs to Moses when he expressed doubt

And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go. 1. Who ever is fearful and afraid go back 22,000 returned
2. Ten thousand left still to many go to the water
3. Separated them by those who lapped the water with their tongues like a dog 300 left.
4. Take the 300 and let the rest go home.
III. Midian camp Judges 7:19-25 “ page 110

IV. page 111 divides 300 into 3 groups.
1. Artillery trumpet, empty jars, torch inside.
2. Keep your eyes on me follow my lead.
3. When I blow the trumpet blow yours and shout.
4. For the Lord and for Gideon

V. Gideon dies and here we go again page 112
1. Israel starts again the fall.
2. FORGOT THEIR FAITHFUL, HOLY GOD, so they suffered the consequences again

7. During this time God picks Zorah, named Manoah out of the tribe of Dan of all tribes meaning He can use anyone.
8. Wife was barren meaning He can take a hopeless situtation and turn it around.

11. He did ok until he saw Philistine woman.

Vi. Samson wants something he shouldn’t want
1. Almost there lion comes out spirit comes on him tore lion apart.

3. He goes back to marry her, looks at lion carcass swarm of bees and he scooped up honey gave some to parents.
4. 30 men tells them a riddle if they can answer within 7 days.
5. Get thirty linen garments and thirty sets of clothes.
6. If they can’t answer they give him the linen and garments.
7. Out of the eater, something to eat;
out of the strong, something sweet.

9. Fourth day talk to his wife, and if you don’t help us you will burn.
10. She tries to get riddle but he didn’t tell anybody, on 7 days he tells her
11. Samson said if you had not got with my wife you could not have solved it.
12. kills 30 men took everything and gave clothes to those who had explained the riddle.
13. He’s mad goes back to father’s house gave his wife to someone else.
14. Samson took a goat and went back but her father would not let him in.
15. He’s mad gets 300 foxes tied tails in pairs turns them a loose set on fire burned up all their grain.
VII. Philistines burn his wife and family up.
1. Philistines go up to Judah waiting on Samson.
2. Enemy camping out close to your PRAISE
3. 3,000 men went down to where Samson was and said DON’T YOU REALIZE WE ARE SLAVES TO THESE PEOPLE.
4. If you ever surrender your praise you are defeated.
5. They came to tie him up, if you are a slave to something.
6. We will tie you up, that’s what happens when you loose your praise.
7. Samson said don’t kill me yourself they agreed.
8. Enemy came Spirit came on him roes dropped from his hands jawbone of a donkey killed a 1,000 men
