Introduction

Deion Sanders takes job as head football coach at Colorado University. Encourages current players to get in the transfer portal if they cant handle the level of excellence because he says “We got a few positions already taken care of cause i’m bringing my luggage with me…and its Louis (Louis Vuitton). Im Coming! It ain’t going to be no more of the mess that the wonderful fans, the student body, and some of your parents have put up with for probably 2 decades now. Im Coming, and when I get here there’s going to be change.

Confidence in the gospel breaks down societal barriers

Explain the distinction between Jews, Greeks, and barbarians
Jews: Descendants of Abraham
Gentiles: The English word “Gentile” comes from the Latin adjective gentilis (“of the same clan, tribe, or race”) and in the English language has taken on the meaning “non-Jew.”...The incorporation of Gentiles into the people of God becomes a major focus of nt theology. Paul describes the Gentiles as “grafted” into the “olive tree” of which Israel was a natural part (Rom 11:17). In the nt, the Gentiles continue to be distinctly contrasted with the Jews’ strong religious identity, but they move from a position of general exclusion from God’s redemptive plan to being a focal point in the worldwide proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Nowhere is this summarized more clearly than in Paul’s words in Eph 2:11–13: “Therefore, remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called ‘the uncircumcision’ … were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ (see also Gal 3:28).

Barbarians: Non-Greeks

Confidence in the gospel builds up righteous living

Explain the power of the Gospel (salvation and victory)
According to Tony Evans, Romans refers to the entirety of salvation: justification (salvation past), sanctification (salvation present), glorification (salvation future).
Romans 8:30-31 “And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified. What, then, are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?”

What is the gospel? Use the teleological suspension of the Dieon Sanders illustration to correlate the failure of the team to the failure of humanity. God has a plan for humanity that can redeem it (Jesus Christ). We have victory over the enemy and can tell others about it.
