Romans 10:9-10 says :”If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
Romans 10:9-10 says :”If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
You and I were born into this world living in sin, separated from God. That applies to all of us. True hope, meaning, and peace won’t be found in what the world has to offer. Solomon, the richest man to ever walk the Earth, had access to all it had to bestow and still counted it all as vain.
With no hope in what the world gives us, we were heading towards an eternity apart from God but the story was rewritten and does not end in darkness. God, being so rich in mercy sent his son as an offering to live a perfect, sinless life in which He ultimately took our place on the cross and paid for our sin with His life. Every sin, of every person, paid in full by His substitution.
Jesus was buried in a sealed tomb but then, 3 days later, rose to new life, forever defeating death! He gives us the solution to an eternity secured in Him and having true hope on Earth. How? The idea of confessing Jesus Christ is Lord with your mouth is more than just saying “Jesus is Lord”, for even the demons confess that, but when we call upon the name of Lord and admit that we are a sinner and in need of a savior, believe in the name of Jesus and confess your faith and hope in Jesus as savior and Lord., you will then be saved. Freedom and victory over death and the world is found solely in Christ and what He did for us on the cross. The world is broken, unpredictable and tomorrow is never promised. If you don’t know God as the savior of your life I pray that you respond and accept the free gift that He so generously offers to everyone. Not by your works or by your own power but by the everlasting gift laid out in front of you. Talk to me or a leader and let’s work this out. It’s the best decision you could ever make. Let’s pray.
