1. Who are the Deacons of the Baptist Church ? They are the governing board that does the bidding for the church.They speak individually and collectively what ever concerns or commendations the church body may have .

2.What is meant by the word Deacon? A Deacon is a Minister, he or she is the assistant to the Ekklesian or the Pastor.

3. Where, in the bible, are Deacons first spoken of ? the book of Acts 6 be ready to explain in your own words.Acts 6:1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. 2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. 3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

4. Why, in the first place were Deacons chosen? They were chosen to be Church officials appointed to assist in the functions of the church.

6.Why was the selection of Deacons regarded as wise? Because the Apostles the Preachers The Pastors the Priest and the Ekklesisans knew that they needed help it was too big of a job all alone.

7. Who stated to the church what the qualifications must be in those who serve as Deacons? The Apostles who were going to appoint them.

What are those Qualifications?1 Timothy 3:8  Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; 9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. 10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless. 11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. 12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. 13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

9. Who took the first and final actions in the appointment of Deacons ? The Apostles through the inspiration and influence of the Holy Spirit.

10. When did the Apostles appoint those Deacons? Right after Act 6: 3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. They already had trusted men of God who were already looking out for the best interest of the church, who perhaps knew the people better than the apostles knew them. And when the recommendations came the Apostles approve them selection of Deacons.

11. Who is the appointed Overseer of the Church? In formal terms The Ekklesian is over the Ekklesia, In other words the Pastor is Overseer of the Church.

12. About how large was the Church before any Deacons were chosen? About nearly 10,000

13. What is the law on financial support for the Church? Malachi 3: 10  Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be meat in mine house, And prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, If I will not open you the windows of heaven, And pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11  And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, And he shall not destroy the fruits of of your ground; Neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.12  And all nations shall call you blessed: For ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

14. Do you believe in the doctrine of One Lord, One Faith, and One Baptism? 1. There is only One Lord, He’s Elohim, God Almighty. Elohim is the God head plural, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. 2. One Faith is the concept that we only believe that It is through the finished work of Jesus Christ that all of mankind can be saved. See John 3:16

3. One Baptism is the doctrine of total submersion of a candidate for baptism. In the Baptist Church we dip the person under water to baptize them. Why? We believe in the doctrine of one Lord One Faith and One Baptism because the bible teaches us that this is correct. see

15. What is the source of discipline and final authority in a Baptist Church? The bible is always the source of discipline and the final authority to settle any and every matter in God’s church and the Pastor and the Deacons ought to have a good working knowledge of what the word of God says to be able to implement a proper course of action.

16. Can a Baptist Church member be sanctified and holy? Yes The bibles says be ye holy for I am Holy saith the Lord of Hosts.

17. Do you believe that once in Christ you’re never out? In Ephesians 1:10 the bible says we are adopted in to the body of Christ and once adopted we can not be un-adopted.

18. Does the chairman of the Deacons have any more authority or privileges than any other Deacon in the Church? No but his voice does carry the weight of the leader and in the absence of the pastor the chairman does have to authority to move the church forward in righteousness.
