Are The Demons Laughing At You

Mark 5:21-43

Mark 5:21-24 - 21 And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the other side, a great crowd gathered about him, and he was beside the sea. 22 Then came one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, and seeing him, he fell at his feet 23 and implored him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Come and lay your hands on her, so that she may be made well and live.” 24 And he went with him. And a great crowd followed him and thronged about him.

When All Else Fails

Its funny as believers we still have tendencies of when to call upon Jesus

We try our measures first

Jairus - Gyrus - (pharisee)Leader/ruler of the synagogue in Capernaum

But the issue of pride is one of man’s #1 downfalls

The “I” is so important to us as important as it to the devil

He wants you to be all involved in the “I”

I want you to know that in the middle of pride is I, in the middle of sin is I, and pride is sin

The Bodily Connection

With pride our ears are obstructed to God’s voice and word, with no word there is no vision

But imagine that you knew the devil was trying to take something special away that is close to your heart....

Jesus is speaking to us today like in verse in 36 ““Do not fear, only believe.”

When are ears are obstructed, we can only see what our minds can perceive, what we see is most of the time what we speak

The devil will try to hurt and take away more and more to hurt you, cause pain, cause for your ears to be deaf. He wants you to break control so you fight with the “I”

But when we can open our ears to what is being spoken to us, you can start to see the promises of God and overcoming victories, and if God spoke “it is finished” than God speak through you now to also say it is finished!

Fight Your Fight

Even the devil knows he is defeated, so he instigates, he wants to bring you down with him

So when Jesus starts speaking into your life, over the things that were once bound....how do you think the devil responds?

in V 40 - They laughed at him

The devil thought he killed off that marriage, that blessing, those relationships, those financial breakthroughs, that ministry, that prayer life, that healing

But Jesus told them .... its not dead -its asleep- He wants to awake a sleeping giant within you that will move you closer to Him

The devil and his legion of demons may be laughing at you and your dismay, the hurt, the setbacks

But Jesus is saying “Talitha Cumi” the word Cumi means to Stand Up! or Arise!

Jesus is saying Cumi to that marriage, to those broken relationships, to those financial hardships, to that sickness, to the mind hurts

But know when Jesus spoke these words, immediately the girl arose

Jesus said in John 14:12 - Those who believe in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do

so today open your mouth and say with me -

Blessings - Cumi

My Marriage - Cumi

My lost children - Cumi

freedom from addictions - Cumi

financial breakthrough - Cumi

healings - Cumi

The devil will not tell you of your outcomes and where God is calling you to, but he will remind you of your past and shortcomings, but I want to encourage you to day when the devil is laughing at you, remind him of his future.... and speak your Cumi blessing over you, your family, and all that God has given you
