“Lord, Have Mercy”

In Distress

Ps 4:1 “Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.”

In Sanctification

Ps 25:7 “Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.”

For Healing

Ps 6:2Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled.”

For Salvation

Ps 41:4 “I said, “Lord, be merciful to me; Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.””

For Others

Ge 43:14 “And may God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may release your other brother and Benjamin. If I am bereaved, I am bereaved!””
Mercy - “Not getting with I deserve” not reaping what I have sown - the consequences of sin
Grace - “Getting what I do not deserve” Reaping the benefit of what Jesus has done - not of works lest anyone should boast
