Played The Fool Before
Played The Fool Before
4 Some time later he fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek (Grapes). Her name was Delilah.
5 The Philistine tyrants approached her and said, “Seduce him. Discover what’s behind his great strength and how we can tie him up and humble him. Each man’s company will give you a hundred shekels of silver.”
6 So Delilah said to Samson, “Tell me, dear, the secret of your great strength, and how you can be tied up and humbled.”
7 Samson told her, “If they were to tie me up with seven bowstrings—the kind made from fresh animal tendons, not dried out—then I would become weak, just like anyone else.”
8 The Philistine tyrants brought her seven bowstrings, not dried out, and she tied him up with them.
9 The men were waiting in ambush in her room. Then she said, “The Philistines are on you, Samson!” He snapped the cords as though they were mere threads. The secret of his strength was still a secret.
10 Delilah said, “Come now, Samson—you’re playing with me, making up stories. Be serious; tell me how you can be tied up.”
11 He told her, “If you were to tie me up tight with new ropes, ropes never used for work, then I would be helpless, just like anybody else.”
12 So Delilah got some new ropes and tied him up. She said, “The Philistines are on you, Samson!” The men were hidden in the next room. He snapped the ropes from his arms like threads.
13 Delilah said to Samson, “You’re still playing games with me, teasing me with lies. Tell me how you can be tied up.” He said to her, “If you wove the seven braids of my hair into the fabric on the loom and drew it tight, then I would be as helpless as any other mortal.” When she had him fast asleep, Delilah took the seven braids of his hair and wove them into the fabric on the loom
14 and drew it tight. Then she said, “The Philistines are on you, Samson!” He woke from his sleep and ripped loose from both the loom and fabric!
15 She said, “How can you say ‘I love you’ when you won’t even trust me? Three times now you’ve toyed with me, like a cat with a mouse, refusing to tell me the secret of your great strength.”
16 She kept at it day after day, nagging and tormenting him. Finally, he was fed up—he couldn’t take another minute of it.
17 He spilled it. He told her, “A razor has never touched my head. I’ve been God’s Nazirite from conception. If I were shaved, my strength would leave me; I would be as helpless as any other mortal.”
18 When Delilah realized that he had told her his secret, she sent for the Philistine tyrants, telling them, “Come quickly—this time he’s told me the truth.” They came, bringing the bribe money.
19 When she got him to sleep, his head on her lap, she motioned to a man to cut off the seven braids of his hair. Immediately he began to grow weak. His strength drained from him.

The Characteristic Of Fools
The Characteristic Of Fools
11 As a dog eats its own vomit, so fools recycle silliness.
With A Show Of Hands How Many of Us Got Played By someone We Loved?
Eventually we have to get tired of Cycles of Silliness
Sampson’s Cycle
He didn’t want to live according the standards God had established for him.
2 There was a man from Zorah named Manoah. Manoah was from the family of Dan. His wife was not able to have children.
3 The Messenger of the Lord appeared to her and said, “You’ve never been able to have a child, but now you will become pregnant and have a son.
4 Now you must be careful. Don’t drink any wine or liquor or eat any uncleanfood.
5 You’re going to become pregnant and have a son. You must never cut his hair because the boy will be a Nazirite dedicated to God from birth. He will begin to rescue Israel from the power of the Philistines.”
Standard of Sanctification:
Singles do you have any idea what God requires out of you as a single christian.
Sanctified: to be or become as dedicated to God; either in distinction, in devotion, or in moral purity.
Distinct: Recognizably different in nature:
Devotion: Wholehearted Commitment to God
Moral Purity: 2 Cor 7:1
1 THEREFORE, SINCE these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring [our] consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of God.
I believe its safe to say that if we practiced better standards before looking to get in a relationship we probably wouldn’t have gotten played
With A Raise Of Hands How many of you can give me a warning sign in 5 words or less that when you see this in a person you know, this is not the will of God for your life
example: Don’t Honor Marriage, Don’t need to be saved, Don’t take care of kids
Warning Signs beloved..... ‘Sampson ignored the warning signs”…
When It comes to you, what are some must haves?
What i mean is....
before considering getting into a relationship where should you be Spiritually, Mentally, Physically and Financially?
Some of us have made the mistake of focusing more on the other person and what you must have in them…
But if the truth be told, you should working on how to present the best version of you to your potential spouse.. You want them to be 4K 73 inch and your black & White 13 inch action..
You want them looking like barbie and you look like barney
Sampson never took time to work on himself and deal with his issues… And you can lie to yourself if you want to, but baby i see the twitch in your eye, and can tell the lights are on but sometimes no one is in the attic..
It’s Baskin & Robins up in this mug, ( All Flava’s) we got cra, mad, psycho, depressed, oppressed, obsessed, Nasty, sneaky, mean, playa Playa, broken but don’t realize it, and my all time favorite the Victim....
We also got love hard, focused, commited, hungry for righteous companionship, ok with being alone, got scares but survived the snake bite.. & ready for Loveeeee
But We got work to do, and we need to completely cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit. In other words we need to detox from the last relationship before even consider getting into another
Come On Sis How old is too old for having a babies daddy?
Come On Bro, You have never taking care of yourself how you going to take care of a wife??
fools Recycle silliness
Look At What the Devil does to us,
5 And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.
5 The rulers of the Philistines went to her and said, “See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels of silver.”
attract by offering pleasure or advantage.
Entice: To Set On Fire.......
Satan Lures/Entices us
Why To discover our Strength & Our Secret
He will send fake phony/counterfeit people in our life and hold us hostage in a toxic unsanctioned by God relationship but we on fire
If you are tired of being fooled Know their fruits
16 You can spot them by their actions, for the fruits of their character will be obvious. You won’t find sweet grapes hanging on a thorn bush, and you’ll never pick good fruit from a tumbleweed.
I am going to leave you with Some Nuguts and we going to pray:
Do they have a genuine relationship with God? (Are they Saved)
Man( How does he handle disappointments and failures)
Woman ( Will She remain faithful to you in disappointments and failures)
(Man) Can he catch you in the spirit?
Woman ( Can she see your vulnerabilities and Cover you in prayer or expose you to the world)
Man ( Will She be able to make you her priority over her kids )
Women (Will he be able to make you a priority over his mother )
Tell 3 people better looking than you I’ve played the fool before..
Satan wants your secret so he can spiritually blind you..
If he can keep us in dysfunctional relationships, we produce dysfunctional children and if we got dysfunctional children they will corrupt a nice young man or nice young lady and produce another dysfunctional generation..
because fools Recycle silliness
I looked the dysfunctional life style i was raised in and decided i wasn’t going to be or do that..
The Power Of Christ On the Cross nailed all that dysfunction and canceled out our family curse and gave us a Generational Blessing..
