Walk in the Light

1 John 1:5–2:2 CSB
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light, and there is absolutely no darkness in him. If we say, “We have fellowship with him,” and yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth. If we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say, “We have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say, “We have not sinned,” we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. My little children, I am writing you these things so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ the righteous one. He himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world.
There is no Darkness in God-
There is no evil intent that God operates with
There is no insidious behavior behind God
His motivate towards this world, towards you and me is love
John 3:16 CSB
For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 5:8 CSB
But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
These are important verse because they show us that God is love, and when we were lost in sin, doing the things that we shouldn’t, He Showed us Love, Grace, and Mercy
There is no darkness in God- He is light, His motivates are light.
You don’t have to question
There are back door politics with God
HE said he loved, He showed His loved, and He calls you to His love
Isaiah 9:2 CSB
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness.
Our longest sorrows have an ending, and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our misery. Our winters shall not frown forever; summer shall soon smile. The tide shall not eternally ebb out; the floods must retrace their march. The night shall not hang its darkness forever over our souls; the sun shall yet arise with healing beneath its wings.
Charles Spurgeon
Light has Come, and we can walk in the Light-
We are called to Walk in the light
We are called to be light
Darkness ceases because of Jesus Christ, and Christ is in us
He is “The hope of Glory”

There is a choice to be made here

John 3:19–21 CSB
This is the judgment: The light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light and avoids it, so that his deeds may not be exposed. But anyone who lives by the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be shown to be accomplished by God.”
Light has come- will you enter the light?
Will you step into the light and turn from all the other things that have held you prisoner
Don’t continue to walk the way you used to0 because you are in the Light
Live a life in the light
What are you listening to?
What are you watching?
what are you Speaking?
These things impacted our lives, our minds, and ultimately our hearts
Ephesians 2:1–5 CSB
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the disobedient. We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us, made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!
God has saved you from these things that once had control over your life.
