The biblical concept of the Trinity is that of tri-unity. Modalism mistakenly defines the Trinity as one God who reveals Himself in three different modes. Tritheism falsely views the Trinity as three separate but cooperating gods.
Edward E. Hindson
The Trinity is the basis of the gospel, and the gospel is a declaration of the Trinity in action.
J. I. Packer
Nothing will so enlarge the intellect and magnify the whole soul of man as a devout, earnest, continued investigation of the whole subject of the Trinity.
Charles Spurgeon
The idea behind modalism was that all three persons of the Trinity are the same person, but that they behave in unique “modes” at different times.
R. C. Sproul
The doctrine of the Trinity is the differentiating doctrine of the Christian faith.
David Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Wayne Grudem
1438Keep the existence of the Trinity prominent in your ministry. Remember, you cannot pray without the Trinity. If the full work of salvation requires a Trinity, so does that very breath by which we live. You cannot draw near to the Father except through the Son and by the Holy Spirit.—37.374
Charles Spurgeon
The word trinity is never found in the Bible, though the idea represented by the word is taught in many places. The word trinity means “tri-unity” or “three-in-oneness.” It is used to summarize the teaching of Scripture that God is three persons yet one God.
Wayne Grudem
The doctrine of the Trinity is one of the most important doctrines of the Christian faith. To study the Bible’s teachings on the Trinity gives us great insight into the question that is at the center of all of our seeking after God: What is God like in himself? Here we learn that in himself, in his very being, God exists in the persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, yet he is one God.
Wayne Grudem
That’s the consummation. The infinite Godhead invites us into Himself to share in all the intimacies of the Trinity. And Christ is the way in.
