1 John 2:3–11 CSB
This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commands. The one who says, “I have come to know him,” and yet doesn’t keep his commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps his word, truly in him the love of God is made complete. This is how we know we are in him: The one who says he remains in him should walk just as he walked. Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old command that you have had from the beginning. The old command is the word you have heard. Yet I am writing you a new command, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining. The one who says he is in the light but hates his brother or sister is in the darkness until now. The one who loves his brother or sister remains in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But the one who hates his brother or sister is in the darkness, walks in the darkness, and doesn’t know where he’s going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
“If we keep His commands.”- How do we know if we love God?
We live like Jesus
We do the will of God
We obey God
Jesus said
John 6:38 CSB
For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
If we walk like Jesus we get the results that Jesus Got-
Ultimately God’s presences
1 John 2:5 (CSB)
But whoever keeps his word, truly in him the love of God is made complete. This is how we know we are in him:
The Love of God is in Him
1 John 2:6 (CSB)

Walk Like Jesus-

How did Jesus Walk?
Jesus was anointed
Luke 4:18–19 CSB
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.
Jesus walked in anointing everywhere he went- Because the Spirit was upon Him
Acts 10:38 CSB
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how he went about doing good and healing all who were under the tyranny of the devil, because God was with him.
We can do the things Jesus Did?
Anointed lives-
Break the bondage of slavery
to fear
anxiety
depression
Because these are the tyranny of the Devil
God is with them-
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is with us
Jesus says
Acts 1:8 CSB
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
We have been anointed with Power to Proclaim the Gospel-
the Goodnews of the Lord favor
