Grace and faith

Nothing is sure for sinners that is not gratuitous. Unless we are saved by grace, we cannot be saved at all.
Charles Hodge
Saving grace makes a man as willing to leave his lusts as a slave is willing to leave his galley, or a prisoner his dungeon, or a thief his bolts, or a beggar his rags.
Thomas Brooks
Let us hear what the Bible says and what we as Christians are called to hear together: By grace you have been saved!
Karl Barth
Grace that cannot be seen, like light, and tasted, like salt, is not grace but hypocrisy.
J. C. Ryle
