Ephesians 6:10 KJV 1900
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Psalm 27:1 (KJV 1900)
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

WE SHOULDN’T HIDE FROM FEAR

Psalm 34:4 (KJV 1900)
I sought the Lord, and he heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
1 John 4:18 (KJV 1900)
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

OUR COURAGE COMES THROUGH CHRIST

Joshua 1:9 (KJV 1900)
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Philippians 4:13 (KJV 1900)
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Ephesians 6:10 (KJV 1900)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

WE ARE COMMANDED TO BE COURAGEOUS

Deuteronomy 31:6 (KJV 1900)
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
1 Corinthians 16:13 (KJV 1900)
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

OUR COURAGE IS IMPACTED BY THOSE AROUND US

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (KJV 1900)
And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Hebrews 10:24–25 (KJV 1900)
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Romans 1:12 (KJV 1900)
That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

BEING COURAGEOUS SOMETIMES HAS CONSEQUENCES

Daniel 3:18 (KJV 1900)
But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Daniel 3:19–25 (KJV 1900)
Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellers, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Acts 4:13 (KJV 1900)
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

WE MUST BE PEOPLE OF COURAGE!
