NEW LIFE
NEW LIFE
What should we say then? Should we continue in sin so that grace may multiply?
Paul ask the question we have all ask at some point or an other.
It is almost like it is are job to sin and Jesus job to forgive.
Story about the Lemonade stand.
Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Or are you unaware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
How can we like what causes death?
“baptized into His death” this is where a lot of people have a hard time understanding the change that takes place.
Talk about the podcast.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!
This is why repentance works in the life of the believer.
Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life.
I don’t remember being buried?
Talk about being baptism into death.
The resurrection of the believer.
For if we have been united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be in the likeness of his resurrection.
Are we living a resurrected life?
Have you walked out of that tomb change forever?
You can’t be resurrected form the dead and be the same as before.
For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be rendered powerless so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin,
“sin might be rendered powerless”
So how can we say “I can stop that one sin it is who I am.”
With all the love I can show let me say “that is a lie”
When sin no longer reigns as king in are life we can say no.
since a person who has died is freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him, because we know that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will not die again. Death no longer rules over him.
we live with Christ and he can’t die again.
We have an assurance of victory.
For the death he died, he died to sin once for all time; but the life he lives, he lives to God. So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
“consider yourselves dead to sin”
That old man is gone!
YOU are alive in Christ Jesus.
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, so that you obey its desires.
Sin was dethroned by the Cross so don’t let it reign.
And do not offer any parts of it to sin as weapons for unrighteousness. But as those who are alive from the dead, offer yourselves to God, and all the parts of yourselves to God as weapons for righteousness.
don’t help the wrong the side.
For sin will not rule over you, because you are not under the law but under grace.
This is an encouraging statement.
