John 8:30
How deeply is this crowd committed and how long will it last?
Will they break loose from the old antagonistic crowd and in faith cast themselves on the One whom the Father has sent?
How will they handle the pressure of their leaders and being shunned and ostracized by their unbelieving neighbors?
There comes a time when you say, “Enough is enough!”
Do you have what it takes to get to the other side?
Corrupt company destroys good character!
In order to get the victory, we need to separate ourselves from what we know, and let God’s Word build us up in Him!
If we really want our lives to change, we need to get a foundation upon Jesus through prayer and getting in His Word even if it takes some loneliness.
We must get an accountability partner--someone that is a Christian that will tell you the truth and pray with you.
The only way this will happen is to get built up in Christ Jesu.
Jesus is not seeking short-term followers who will fall by the wayside.
We must abide in His Word if we want to be a part of His fellowship.
We must not only hear what He says, but abide in His Word, be at home in it.
This means obeying Him, sitting at His feet, living under His authority.
Only through this obedience will the disciple know the truth.
We can memorize verses and have it in our heads but is it in our hearts?
The discovery of the truth comes in encountering and yielding to the One who is Living Truth.
