King James Version (Chapter 6:9-13) Offers the most exhaustive breakdown of this text***
After this manner, therefore, pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13a. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
13b. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

The distinction of Prayer vs. 9

Acknowledge that pray is a command.
Acknowledgment of the person of God the Father
Acknowledges God in a position of authority (Right to Rule)
Acknowledges God in a position of Power (Ability to Rule. Omnipotence)
Acknowledges God in a position of being worthy to be revered and praised

Destination of Prayer vs. 9

Acknowledges where you send your request needs the proper person.
Acknowledges that your prayers go to the correct address with proper “postage.”
Ref. 2 Chronicles 7:14 “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and will pray and will seek my face and will turn from their evil ways, then I myself shall hear from the heavens and will forgive their sins and heal their land.”
Warning Ref. 1 Peter 3:7 “Husbands, in the same way live with your wives knowledgeably, as with the weaker female vessel, showing them honor as fellow heirs also of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.”

The Desire for Prayer vs. 10

Acknowledge that the believers want the government of Heaven and God’s rule to come.
Interfere in our affairs on earth.
Bring HIS authority, power, and resources from heaven to earth. (Note: We already have the Holy Spirit with us let him interpret on our behalf)
Ref. Romans 8:26-27 “26 And likewise also, the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as one ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with unexpressed groanings. 27 And the one who searches our hearts knows what the mindset of the Spirit is, because he intercedes on behalf of the saints according to the will of God.”
Get your mind in sync with the Holy Spirit (Warning)

Daily Provision of Prayer vs. 11

Acknowledge though we may have basics or overflow in this culture, our daily needs are not just physical but spiritual.
Ref. Matthew 4:4 “But he answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man will not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God.’ ”
Our Daily bread must include a Rhema word to sustain us daily. More than a verse a day, but regurgitated word (Extract all the spirit reveals to you)

Deliverance of Prayer vs. 12

The contractual component of prayer. God forgives my sins based on the way I forgive others.
Ref. Matthew 6:14-15If you forgive people their sins, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive people, neither will your Father forgive your sins.”
The urgency of extending grace as the Father has done through Christ must be mimicked daily. This is what He does:
He never forgot our nature (Weak)
He never forgot our failures.
He never forgot our limited abilities.
He never promoted our shame to our ridicule.
He is a long-suffering God because He put up with us.
But, He poured out abundant grace towards us through the blood of Jesus.
Ref. Colossians 3:13 “putting up with one another and forgiving one another. If anyone should have a complaint against anyone, just as also the Lord forgave you, thus also you do the same.”

Defense of Prayer vs. 13a.

Moral debts before God reveal our shortcomings before God.
We become predisposed to the influences around us when we harbor sin.
Our conduct ( actions or doing) and character (Being or becoming) comes into question; Does my living and person reflect the person of Christ manifested? If not, we must repent and seek direction from falling into temptation. Understand being led can produce coercion back to repentance or create reprobates.

Doxology of Prayer vs. 13b.

Give God Honor through praise. Start with praise and reverence, and end with it.
“Theology, with correct Hymnology, goes back to God in Proper Doxology.”
Don’t treat God as a genie in a bottle entity. He’s Sovereign, Omnipotent, and Holy.
Ref. Numbers 23:19 “19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of humankind, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? And has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?”
Isaiah 41:10 “10 You must not fear, for I am with you; you must not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, indeed I will help you, indeed I will take hold of you with the right hand of my salvation.”
Give God the glory due to HIM because He’s worthy of praise even when we pray.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
