You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do.”
2 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. 25 For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? Or what can one give in exchange for his life? 27 s For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father’s glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct. 28 Amen, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”
2 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.
After the solemn confession of petter as son of the living God, Jesus is explaining what are the condition to follow him and what are the consequences, to prevent among the disciples a material conception of his ministry. The jews were waiting the messiah, but a messiah that fix all his early things, like the gospel of the prosperity that many denomination are preaching, they say you receive God in your life and all your troubles will disappear, the problem with that is that we are expecting that God fulfill our desires, not that we fulfill the desires of God.
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.
In the old Testament the Prophet Ezekiel 9:4 says that will come to mark his chosen with a Thau.
4 And the Lord said to him: Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem: and mark Thau upon the foreheads of the men that sigh, and mourn for all the abominations that are committed in the midst thereof.
Revelation 7:3
Saying: Hurt not the earth nor the sea nor the trees, till we sign the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Also, in the book of revelation the beast put a mark in the forehead of his followers, there to form to think as the word, You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do.” and to the way of God thinks.
If you follow your own desires, you will lose your life, if you denied your own desires, you will have eternal life.
618 The cross is the unique sacrifice of Christ, the “one mediator between God and men.” But because in his incarnate divine person he has in some way united himself to every man, “the possibility of being made partners, in a way known to God, in the paschal mystery” is offered to all men. He calls his disciples to “take up [their] cross and follow [him],”454 for “Christ also suffered for [us], leaving [us] an example so that [we] should follow in his steps.” In fact Jesus desires to associate with his redeeming sacrifice those who were to be its first beneficiaries.456 This is achieved supremely in the case of his mother, who was associated more intimately than any other person in the mystery of his redemptive suffering. (1368, 1460; 307, 2100; 964)
Apart from the cross there is no other ladder by which we may get to heaven.[1]
What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? Or what can one give in exchange for his life?
What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
This word change the life of Saint Francisco Javier, after that what, after that wath.
"Think about it, for the world is a teacher who promises but does not keep his word. And even if he keeps his promises to you, he can never please your heart. And even assuming that you please him, how long will your happiness last? In any case, can it last longer than your life? And in death, what will you take with you to eternity? What good will it do man to gain the whole world, if he loses his soul?».
Or what can one give in exchange for his life?
The only thing that we can give in ransom of our life if the blood of Christ, and the blood of Christ we get to his cross. There is no another Way.
For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father’s glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct.
Daily Application.
The Final Exam
s For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father’s glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct.
The final test.
Jesus is talking about the most important test that you have in your life, how did you prepare for you final test, because you know that maybe your life depends how good or bad is this test.
But there another test most important, that will not make by your teacher, you know that this test will come, and who will examine Jesus, but you do not know the hour.
And there are two ways to prepare for this test, you see in the Gospel.
To follow the desires of the word or the desires of Jesus.
I want this, the word says steel take no buddy is looking at it.
Jesus says, you have to work and gain your own food.
The word says you can smoke and drink all people are doing.
But Jesus is telling your body is a temple of the holy spirit if you destroy it God will destroy you.
Your friends and saying come let’s look a this picture,
Jesus is telling you, if you commit a sin with your eyes, with your eyes will throw in to the fire
So we have to work all days for this day, because these day God will open the book of our life, and see all the thingies, that we have done.
s For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father’s glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct.
All is written in his book, even the things that are hidden, the things thar are in your main.
This is final test, for that we have to prepare our life, because Jesus will come soon your judge your life.
Deep waters cannot quench love,
nor rivers sweep it away.
Were one to offer all the wealth of his house for love,
he would be utterly despised.
We cannot buy the love of another, person we cannot buy the love of God, the only way to buy the love is to suffer for the others.
Do no use a God, full your desires, you will lose, you will ask all days what is you will, let me know it and follow it.
Do no avoid the Cross, when it comes accept, there is no bigger honor that suffer for Christ and in Christ.
Work for your final day, your final. Test.
